  1. So the Ravens did sign JPP. They sure could use some help in the pass rush dept. Not sure how much he has left in the tank, but maybe he can help some and be an example for the younger players like Oweh. He needs to step it up.
  2. Having to look to the right out my kitchen window now to see the sunrise through the trees makes me happy.
  3. I am in the woods so I know the struggles. I can get cool season tall fescue established just fine in the early Fall, and it will thrive in the Spring and early summer, but once we get the persistent heat, blazing high sun, and the trees are all active, a significant amount of it just gives up and goes to thatch. Some areas hang on enough and come back. I let the moss do its thing for the most part, and try to keep a nice grass area in the back (over the drain field) around my firepit area. I just have to do a fairly significant reseed every year in late Summer/early Fall.
  4. Mine is mostly up and doing well. Wish I didn't have to keep running the sprinkler. I am also going to put some more seed down this evening or tomorrow morning in a few areas where it still looks a bit bare.
  5. Some decent showers here. Might make it to a quarter of an inch. 0.20" so far.
  6. And maybe Harbaugh should realize this isn't the dominant smash mouth team of 2019(at least until he decides to play Dobbins and Stanley) and not go for every 4th and short, after being stuffed on third and short. That automatic 3 with the best kicker in the world earlier in the game might have helped..
  7. They started 2-2 in 2019 and finished 14-2. A dominant run game would have helped immensely today. Time of possession was way in the favor of the Dolphins in the second half. Less time with our 'on-their-heels' D on the field and this is probably a win.
  8. Raven's season ultimately hinges on Stanley, Dobbins, and eventually Gus the bus coming back and contributing. Other than Lamar, the run game was again putrid today. The D will work itself out, I think, as long as they don't accumulate more injuries. They have a lot of young talent. Lets just hope the New D coordinator isn't a young version of Dean Pees.
  9. Worst in Raven's history? Having a hard time thinking of another one this bad.
  10. If that was pressure.. "miscommunication in the secondary".
  11. Ravens clearly fear the speed of the Dolphins. Playing soft isn't getting it done though.
  12. D better get it together now. Could be a one score game pretty quick.
  13. Reminding me of the swiss Pees days. Wink may have brought pressure a little too much, but when you are up 21, dial it up. Don't make it easy for crap sake.
  14. Ravens star RB throwing p good today.
  15. Current forecast for Friday here is 70/47. Next weekend looks near perfect.
  16. No stinkbug sightings here yet. Hoping it will be like 2 years ago, where there were hardly any here. Killed probably a hundred in the house last winter/early Spring Having no attic/completely vaulted beam/purlin roof system makes it tough to keep them out of the living space. I did find a major gap in the ridge vent where the 2 roof lines meet, and had that repaired and sealed in July. The contractor found plenty of stink bug carcasses in that area, and a snake skin lol. Overwintering critters find the warmth.
  17. Even some -NAO action towards the end of the month on the EPS.

    Winter 2022-23

Good post. You are right, there is a tendency for a snow 'hole' in the middle part of the region during Ninas. Eastern areas also did well in the 2010 boxing day storm. I managed 5" here, but it was still frustrating knowing there was a foot plus just to my east.

    Winter 2022-23

Immediate DC area aside, the eastern lowlands of the MA have done decently in recent Ninas (and maybe Ninas trending neutral). Not sure how to account for it other than luck- managing to be just close enough to get in on the late developing/offshore coastals in a cold, progressive pattern that more typically would result in a complete miss at our latitude and nail eastern NE.
  20. Currently 51. Stellar weather today.
  21. A +PNA pattern showing up on the ens means towards the end of the month. Perhaps our first real taste of Fall weather.
