  1. Hopefully. More likely we pay with a stretch of 88 and humid and still not much rain.
  2. Thanks. The view out front isnt what it used to be. Wasn't a house in sight but now there is one on the lot next door, but still a couple hundred feet away. A lot closer than I am used to though. I have to watch my tongue(and volume) when I am outside working and something pisses me off now lol.
  3. @frd Probably as good as it gets right now. Too bad the days don't get shorter from this point forward lol. I'll take another picture in a month, and the difference will be shocking. It will only get worse from there lol. I only try to keep a small area of decent grass now(what you see here) so reseeding it every Fall isn't a big deal.
  4. My grass starts to go downhill by mid June, regardless of how much rain falls. Just too hostile for a cool season tall fescue in the middle of the woods, with well drained soil, and the long hot Summer days.
  5. Overnight guidance has trended towards bringing some rain further north for Tuesday night. Still looks like the heavier rain will be southward in our region.
  6. GFS brings us some moisture with the midweek disturbance. That camp is lonely though. Majority of guidance keeps it south.
  7. 0.76" here. Still some light rain showers moving through. No complaints.
  8. Looking at radar over that way. You should stop at the DFH store in Rehoboth and pick up a 4 pack of Utopias barrel-aged 120 min, and a couple bottles of aged WWS or 120s. Worth it.
  9. The HRRR still has my area getting maybe a quarter max. Just hit 0.50". Sort of in the 'jack zone' here(such that it is) which most models have south of here. Euro and also the ICON appear to be closest to reality, at least over this way. 3km NAM has been a bit all over, but the latest run looks close to what is actually occurring.
  10. 64 with steady rain here now. A half inch would be nice.
  11. Soil is pretty dry here. Over 10 days with little to no rain since the 1-2 punch deal. Someone bump the drought thread.
  12. 18z runs are a bit more juiced up overall.
  13. May 11 ENSO diagnostic discussion update from CPC. https://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/analysis_monitoring/enso_advisory/ensodisc.shtml
  14. I have a log home and used to get woodpeckers pecking into my Fascia- going after carpenter bee larvae. Once I learned how to properly eradicate them, no more woodpecker attacks on the house.
  15. Awesome. I have found that in many cases it is a waste of time trying to get plants to grow and thrive here in the woods (plus the silty/sandy soil), if they aren't native. I was looking for something native that got BIG- to serve as a demarcation between my back lawn/garden area and the edge of the actual woods. The big bluestem can get up to 8 ft tall, plus they turn a pretty red/orange color in the Fall. They self-seed and also spread via rhizomes, so it will be interesting to see how this ends up lol.
  16. Overwhelmingly -PNA overall though, in a Nina. We had very transient periods of "favorable" Pac with the -NAO, but it didn't work out. -NAO during a Nino (with an actual STJ) gives different outcomes than in a Nina when the PNA is negative.
  17. There are degrees of -PNA. Slightly negative to neutral PNA with a -NAO, esp in a Nino with a STJ present, should still be a good pattern. It better be if we still want snow here.
  18. 70/42. Just wow. Clone this day and give it to me for the next 3 months, with some cool rain every 4 days.
  19. Perfection. Been outside all day soaking it up. Planted some perennial native grasses this morning when it was misty and temps in the 40s. Now sipping a margarita and placing some annuals in the pots on the deck.
  20. Latest CFS runs now go out to Feb. Jan and Feb looking similar to CanSIPS. Favorable Pac, -AO/NAO. Dec isn't bad either. Fwiw ofc.
  21. 5ofMay HH- Homemade guac and a Margarita ofc. Cheers!
  22. We can hope. Health and production from the new additions, as well as Lamar and Bateman.
