  1. Past hour
  2. I thought maybe was the deer fly they were taking about which are very territorial
  3. Yes, im able to take sick pics of the sun
  4. So if it’s what I think.. the tiny little things that fly into my eyes when I’m out pruning the shrubs every week? And I have to go inside and look in the mirror precariously to get them out? And they buzz your ears. And if you hold your arm above your head they fly to highest point? Those are gnats to me
  5. You shouldn't criticize something you don't understand. The charts are 100% raw data. I've merely subtracted a constant from each station to set each stations to zero at a common point in time, either 1948-1969 or 1950. That removes the differences between stations which allows the year-to-year and long-term trends to be seen more easily. The year-to-year and long-term trends are not changed by the subtraction of a constant from each year. Phoenixville and Coatesville warm by exactly the same amount either way. West Chester, at the pre-move location, shows little change in temperature either way.
  6. Simulium venustum are the spring bastards
  7. Lenient PCP that they'll write you a script beforehand. I would love to have some in storage for just- in-case.
  8. We may be talking about the same thing unless you mean the tiny midges/no-seeums
  9. I’ve never understood this black fly fetish . At least in SNE they’re always non - existent. Unless folks are talking about gnats that get in your eyes and ears .
  10. A dramatic warmup is underway. The temperature will soar into the 80s tomorrow. The temperature could reach the hottest levels so far this year on Thursday. Parts of the region could reach 90° for their first time this year. Temperatures will remain above normal into the weekend when high temperaturss will return to the 70s. Showers and thundershowers are possible during the weekend. The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was +0.2°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was -0.2°C for the week centered around May 21. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +0.08°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged -0.08°C. Neutral ENSO conditions will likely continue through at least mid summer. The SOI was +4.57 today. The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was +1.693 today.
  11. We we're at the bank the other day signing papers and my wife had a tick crawling behind her ear; she nonchalantly crushed it and dropped it on the floor. I haven't had one this year yet.
  12. Today
  13. Yeah, black flies have been pretty much a non-factor here, ticks on the other hand have been out of control. One of the worst tick seasons I’ve ever experienced. i’ve had multiple bites, but fortunately all were caught very quickly. I had a PCP write me a Doxy scrip just to have on hand.
  14. That chart does NOT equal the raw data. You continue to simply change past history by making random baseless changes to readings below any available station in the entire county. Or just eliminating select years of data. You simply are showing made up degrees of chilling and warming without any actual support for the degree adjustment that varied with each and every year. Where is the station in the county you are trying to adjust down and or up to???
  15. Strangely they haven’t been too bad here. Usually they’re before the skeeters and those are starting to emerge now. The midges have been more annoying that usual. And the ticks are off the charts.
  16. All I am plotting is NCEI and raw coop data. Are you saying that the County COOP data are "altered alternative facts".
  17. Yeah she gets an anti-inflammatory if we notice her being a little sluggish. Overall though dogs are incredibly pain tolerant and it’s tough/sad because if they are showing it, it really hurts. I don’t take the dog hiking right now because I know she’d do it even if she was in pain. She’d drag herself up the mountain with her front legs just to follow me around. So I don’t put her in that position right now.
  18. That's not the 3km NAM, although at hour 60(end of its run) it does suggest a glancing blow in the hours just beyond. All other guidance keeps it pretty far to the south.
  19. Do you give her any type of painkiller? My last dog hurt her leg when she was 2 and was fine until she got to about 10, the long hikes stopped after that.
  20. Yes. Intermittent smell of burning pine today was odd.
