both the GFS and Euro have warm to hot temps with some isolated storm potential. The days leading up to 2/3 and weekend 5/6 look warm-hot and humid, Lots of high 80s - low 90s potential. We'll see how the storms / fronts position.

Im wondering how the rest of the summer will be. I’ve seen this several times since 2016 … we get a heat surge in the last week of June/first week of July … then the rest of those summers relaxed back to an uninspired temperate boredom really. Onward to a no show hurricane season then a gradient saturated piece of shut waste of time winter If we reset the dial on the solstice, “suddenly” we’ve seen this before.
