Allot goes into OHC. But the main function of hurricanes is to redistribute heat from the tropics to the poles. OHC can absolutely build year over year. Deep OHC in the 100-300m zone is not impacted by local winds. It takes the upwelling caused by major hurricane winds to cause the water column that deep to overturn. .

You guys got a confirmation of receipt of that here in NW Philly. I know there is a little creek here (Cresheim Creek) that feeds into the Wissahickon, that definitely floods across the bottom of the hilly street that runs parallel to it.

don't assume too much; to me "endless summer" means actual summer weather doesn't end, 80s+ and dews go on and on, and that's not happening you tend to engage with language that exaggerates and reaches toward the weather outcome you'd prefer, thus biasing your "forecasts" perfect
