People need to stop blaming Lamar for not playing--we now know it's a high ankle sprain. Players routinely miss multiple weeks with those when they get them. And the Mahomes 2022 comparison is bull: Mahomes played through that because it was the playoffs. This is Week 7; Is it worth playing through an injury that keeps most players out a minimum of 4 weeks and have it linger the rest of the season? When you still have time to make up ground vs. playing hurt in the playoffs? Lamar also mentioned his plant foot yesterday: When he said that I realized that his whole mechanics of both running and throwing could be off if he feels too much pain in that foot. Plenty of questions about this team and how they perform in critical moments, some of which are very familiar. Both the kicker and punter leave a lot to be desired. There are the usual injury issues, and DeCosta being way too comfy with a mediocre OL. No wonder Lamar is hurt with defenders always around him in the pocket. Still too many whiffs. I am in show me mode. No clue why EDC has been so incredibly bad at building an OL...I mean, this is 4-5 years now, smh.
