These dewpoints are simply unacceptable at these temps. Qatar World Cup weather is not what we need for ours!

The only acceptable place for such temps/dews is chasing Bangladesh and with a proper hodograph. Otherwise it ain't right anywhere!

I figure with more thunderstorms the humidity will hold in. Now looks like at least low 90s highs drags into next week. Heat index will stay 100 to 105. Guess after about a week of 110 that'll start to feel normal though.

I'm not sure why our heat advisory hasn't been an extreme heat warning. We hit a heat index of 108 yesterday and 110 so far today. I think that's above the advisory level.

Cookeville District: The Cookeville District remains the hardest hit and continues to have the largest number of outages. Crews are working through widespread storm damage, including downed power lines, trees on power lines, and broken poles. This is a significant restoration effort and will not be completed tonight. If you are still without power in the Cookeville area, please make preparations in case your power is out overnight. Based on current damage assessment, some members in the Cookeville district will remain without power tonight.

While we are working as quickly as possible, some outages may take two days to restore due to the extent of the damage.

Pretty amazing to have DP so high & still hit a 100.  Truly frying pan weather!  Someone take the frying pan away from Mother Nature!!!
