dwagner88
The rain is here finally!. About 0.50" in the gauge and thankfully it's a moderate soaking rain. Not a flash flood like downtown Atlanta yesterday.
John1122
It finally got here overnight. It rained .25. Then it started back around 10 this morning and has been coming down pretty decently for the last hour. No thunder at all. I don't think it's thundered here that I remember, since spring started.
nrgjeff
Shockingly Chattanooga got a true summer morning soaker. Also the CPC 6-10 day chart is AN rainfall. Given what's on the way Friday and Monday, scattered over the weekend, and whatever after that.. Barring an epic failure some drought relief is incoming.

Carvers Gap
My grass was late-August crunchy last week. Today, it is recovering and green. What a difference a week makes. Rain is in the forecast as it should be for this time of year. I was running on the greenbelt and ended up in a flooded section - we have had that much rain. This isn't a big creek nor was there any current....I went on through it. It was surprisingly cold. The humidity is what I am having to get used to!
