Temp up to 37 here from 34 a few hours ago. Flakes stopped mixing at 945am and has been all rain ever since. Steady rain attm.

 New hrrr is about as tucked as ive seen from this model. I know its nowcast time but 'technically' the hrrr is super short range intended for short leads and nowcasting.

Radar also starting to blossom. Getting that classic rotation look.

The HRRR appears to have halted the east trend. All runs since 12z have looked very similar.

People need to chill the fuck out. The coastal literally just popped off the NC coast. Nothing is off schedule as of yet. No meaningful snow was projected until late afternoon/night. We have a low bombing out with a ton of energy to work with. New hrrr looks great and stops the bleeding but we seriously need to stop living and dying by each and every model run. Its insanity. Let this play out and enjoy. Radar looks great.

The problem is there was little margin for error the sharp cutoff for this storm was central Berks. A 40 mile jog east changes everything for Bucks/Montco/Chester

My current thoughts

General 4-8 for Lehigh valley more as you approach Jersey.

General 8-12” PHI area. 

I think there’s still potential to throw a band NW that runs the PA/NJ border. So eastern most areas could pop 12+ with a sharp drop off west of that.

Mostly rain with an occasional flake. Super heavy banding on my door step should kick off a change over shortly

On a side note, what is up with so many people making a mad dash to the grocery store? Even if the original 12-18” were to verify, it’s not like we’d be stuck in the house for more than a day or two.

I’m definitely ready to hallucinate that band pivoting into northwestern Northampton county…feel that I’m just too far here.

I do not think it is unreasonable to be highly skeptical of the NWS forecast for the Lehigh Valley. 10-20” is wishcasting. 4-8” is much more reasonable in my opinion.

I’m trying to that with that heavier band near Trenton that is struggling to move NW.  Not working out too good.

Nothing crazy but some nice steady banding setting up in central PA. Wonder if places like State College or Altoona do better than forecasted?
