Late to the party but over-performed here with 5.5”. 
 

Couldn’t believe the rates this morning. Quite a few accidents too. This one snuck up on a lot of people.

I missed most of this one, but it was very cold so the entire 2” or so stuck to the pavement making it very slippery.  Previous systems were wetter on the pavement and mostly slush rather than ice.

There have been some front end winters (hello 2000-01) but certainly after Christmas is often when a lot of the fun is.

Not even 1/3 of the way so outcomes rivaling 2000 are still on the table. Tbh, I thought DTW was kinda screwed out of a lot of the big action in 2000.

They were. But still picked up 25.1" in December 2000. I had 29.9".

Nov-Dec 2000 was huge IMBY.  System snow and lake effect.

Dec 2008 was also very memorable, though the pack melted fast during the holidays with a lot of rain.  2008-2009 was a wet one with both rain and snow.
