We had some light snow showers here as well this morning.  The snow moved out about 10:00AM.  About 5 minutes later, the wind started howling at 20-25mph sustained.  I was out running and hit a headwind which slowed me down and about turned me into a popsicle.  Wind chills are COLD!  What a sharp contrast to last week.

The west end of Morristown near MRX picked up a decent little dusting overnight. Nothing on my end of the county though. Skies cleared out and bottomed out at 18. When I just drove to the west side of town right now I noticed the snow started showing up more and more the further west that I went. I did notice a small streamer in that area around 5AM this morning. That area is somewhat favored in NW flow. It can do pretty well for the valley in these events.

Noticed that and thought about you when I was driving up 81 this AM. That was really the only pace I noticed anything appreciable from Morgan county to Kingsport.

Bays Mt band is no bueno this AM, but I did get some nice pics of Chimney Top:

Western end of Lee County had measurable Snow. .5-1.0. Northern section on Wise Plateau as well. A very light dusting here in central Lee County.

Managed to get a few pics of the band as I drove home:

I 81 southbound near mm 56

Looking SW from intersection of Wilcox Dr and John B Dennis:

I don't think this was an optimal time, but there was some precip in the area the band sets up.

Also @Carvers Gap:

I may have brought some washing machine bad luck back to Morgan County, lol:

I saw a video of the snow squall but didn’t see the wreck. My goodness that’s right up there with one of the worst! You’d expect that if there was a ton of snow or ice but sometimes the smallest amount of ice sneaks up on you. Wow!

It was 13° this morning when I left my house at 5:15. I’m not sure if it went any lower or not. The clouds moved in so it may not have. We’re on the way to Banff and Lake Louise to ski and board this weekend. Currently in Chicago, where there’s probably 1-1.5in on the ground and the unused roads and runways are covered here. Anyways, I’ll be pulling for everyone to score tonight!

Ah, crap.  Our transmission went out on the old washer.  It was more expensive to replace than it was to by a new one.  We installed the new one yesterday...modeling was good today.  I am not saying it is the new washer, but if we get two new washers in the forum....could be epic.  Maytagmegeddon.

Fortunately looks like just a one off overloading issue. :lightning:
