Sunny with flurries here in Deep Gap, 21.6º. Hope everyone stayed safe, and I'm very glad that was not as bad as last February.

Just lost power for a few minutes. The wind is gusting to 30. 8 currently with moderate snow and sun peeking out to the south currently.

I have a nice dusting now at my house. Amazing how a few degrees of change in direction in the atmosphere can just flood one valley or another with NWF.

I've never seen NW flow snow do much of anything here in Deep Gap, we're just not close enough to the border. Today has been the exception. It's been snowing all day, mostly very light flurries, but it's coming down pretty good right now. Slight accumulations on top of the ice outside. Down to 12.6º.

Just dipped to 9.5. About an inch-ish of powder today but white out conditions many times. 

Store was closed today, not sure about tomorrow. All the parking lots in Blowing Rock are about 1-1.5" of compressed sleet/slush turned into ice. Could ice skate around easier than drive.

Ended up with .65in ZR here at the house.
Never lost power thank god. Just a lot of trees in the yard and neighborhood.
Roads are clear once you get off the mountain here.
Now it’s time for the cold! Drip your faucets, open the cabinets, yada yada.
Let’s reel in a SNOW MAKER before the spring starts, yeah?

I think it was about this cold at one point last winter. Couldn't tell you a date though.

My coldest last year was 3 degrees I believe.  Yeah -6 ain't too shabby.
