Had a cell set up right over me…then it just kept feeding itself. Thought it was going to be a quick hit, and it turned into 30 minutes of very heavy rain. If that’s a prelude to tonight, it’s an unsettling one.

I work in Langhorne and watched it roll in on radar. Dark clouds for sure and the lightning was impressive

Today will be the warmest day of the next week with many spots outside of the higher elevations reaching 90 degrees for the first time here in July. We turn cooler and finally less humid tomorrow and Saturday with temperatures running a couple of degrees below normal highs for late July. Shower chances increase again by Saturday night into Sunday. Early next week looks like it will continue to be a little below normal with comfortable humidity levels.image.png.5b9315534f0bd0e8f09b63c91dc94492.pngimage.thumb.png.232ebc5da9ac2745c0fb9462e5000a91.png

Today marks on average the warmest day of the year....we begin the slow slide toward winter tomorrow as we see our average temperatures fall before reaching their lowest on January 19th. Yesterday temperatures across much of Chester County remained in below average upper 70's to low 80's for highs. Today looks like we will see similar temperatures. There have been some light showers around the area this morning and we should see more developing later this afternoon. Tomorrow will be warmer and more humid before we turn refreshingly cooler for Monday through Wednesday with likely our best stretch of weather so far this summer. Lows by Tuesday morning should be in the 50's for most spots. We start to turn hotter again by the end of the next work week.

Thanks to the overcast and on and off rain, I didn't hit 80 today.  Bottomed out at 70 and only made it up to 78 (at least so far).  Also picked up 0.30", which was welcome since a few days ago I just had a hundredth or two of rain since the 1.30" from Monday.  Still, I am up to 6.5" for the month of July so far.

Currently overcast and 76 with dp that has crept back up into the 70s and is at 74.

Today will be our last warm and humid day till late in the upcoming work week. Temperatures tomorrow and Tuesday may struggle to escape the 70's. Nighttime lows should reach the low to mid 60's tomorrow morning and the upper 50's by Tuesday morning. This will be a great chance to open up those windows and get some fresh air in the place! Any shower chances look to be later today with the cold front. We start a warmup by Thursday with 90's possible to close out the work week.

Get ready for our best stretch of comfortable summer weather over the next 3 days before we warm up by the end of the work week. Temperatures this morning dropped into the mid to upper 60's across the area. Today through Wednesday we will see highs not too far from 80 degrees with low humidity. Nighttime lows both tonight and tomorrow night may reach the 50's - open up those windows! The heat returns Friday in fact many areas that have yet to see a 90-degree day here in July may see it to close out the week. Shower chances return by next weekend.

Low temperatures this morning ran between 5 and 7 degrees below normal for late July. The lowest I found was the 55.1 degree reading at Warwick Township. Another beauty of a day today with highs ranging from the upper 70's at higher spots to the low 80's in valley locations. We start a warming trend back to near normal on Thursday and then above normal temperatures by Friday with some spots cracking 90 degrees for the first time in more than a month. Shower chances return over the weekend.
