JTA66
0.02” here as well. Up to .75” for the week. The brief shower did drop my temp from 91F to 83F. DP still 77F.
LanghorneSnow
Had a cell set up right over me…then it just kept feeding itself. Thought it was going to be a quick hit, and it turned into 30 minutes of very heavy rain. If that’s a prelude to tonight, it’s an unsettling one.

KamuSnow
I've been seeing a boatload of lightning flashes in the distance (to the SW), so I looked at the lightning website and wow. A poster in DC forum (a met) said a peak of 500 to 600 strikes per minute. No rain here yet, but something to drop the temp a few degrees would be nice. Currently 79°F and muggy.
KamuSnow
Furthermore, just got one of these - too bad it's cloudy. But what's off to the SW is pretty interesting. Seeing lightning and hearing a few rumbles of distant thunder. Also getting a few rajndrops now.

Dark clouds for sure and the lightning was impressive

ChescoWx
Today will be the warmest day of the next week with many spots outside of the higher elevations reaching 90 degrees for the first time here in July. We turn cooler and finally less humid tomorrow and Saturday with temperatures running a couple of degrees below normal highs for late July. Shower chances increase again by Saturday night into Sunday. Early next week looks like it will continue to be a little below normal with comfortable humidity levels.
