One of the nicest snows in a long long time. Just a beautiful snow, and an all-snow event to boot! 12 hours straight and still going! None of that snow to sleet to rain crap lol. Measured 5” here in Bon Air.

We started as rain but  it went quickly to snow with no sleet

Measured 5” at my house in Short Pump. This was definitely a memorable storm.  All snow event expect for first hour or so.  It snowed all day and we could enjoy it and not sleep through it.  

Oh and also good to see everyone’s Christmas lights in the snow.  Been a long time since I have seen that combination.

The Varina COOP observer updated their total as of 8pm to 3.5" and there could be another tenth or two added based on the radar trends. Looks like they may be using that observer for the Richmond airport, @JB Fins.

Yeah, not our storm in southside HR. Maybe a slushy half inch at best. Definitely a dusting. It was nice to sit by the Christmas Tree and watch it come down. 

Hopefully we'll get a legit storm down here at some point this winter.
