Yeah, that band I drove through were the highest rates I've seen in awhile. It had to peak at 4" per hour.

I cleared off my board at 8:00 before heading out. Had 3.25" + 2.5" from last night. From the looks of the radar there has to be at least another 8"!

At 1234 AM EST, A band of lake effect snow producing snow fall rates
of 3 inches per hour was found across South Buffalo and the
immediate southern and eastern suburbs. This band of heavy snow will
continue to drift slowly south through the Buffalo Southtowns, and
will also begin to move onshore from Hamburg to Dunkirk. Travel
along the NY Thruway along the Lake Erie shore southwest of Hamburg
will deteriorate rapidly.

You all better really enjoy this event cause according to the GEFS winter's just about over after this next transient shot of Bitterly cold air thats accompanied by nothing but cold air cause its too darn cold for the atmosphere to hold any WV, oh well, enjoy!!  PNA turns negative again and floods the whole nation with pacific maritime air!
