Amazing how localized accumulation was regardless of elevation

There's a little elevation on that stretch of 207 in comparison to the surrounding area and seems to almost always get a little extra. I remember after the Snowicane in 2010 it was noticeable that area got smacked even harder than the rest of us.

Areas of bloomingrove, Harriman , Monroe, Woodbury recieved 2-3" so I guess it's possible but then again that's our snowbelt

when I drove from Harriman to Newburgh along RT 32 about 3 hrs after it snowed, the ground was basically bare from the Cornwall/Highland Mills line all the way to Newburgh.. A slight coating just South of the 5 corners in Vails Gate but it would've been gone yesterday morning for sure

Definitely some weird aerial accumulation patterns.

Here's yesterday's MODIS Today image:

And today's:

It can be a bit difficult to distinguish between snowfall and cloudcover, but once you get your bearings you can generally get a rough idea of the outline. I'm actually surprised at how much of a corridor of snow was remaining as of today.
