north pgh
My power just came back on. Was out for about almost an hour. Winds gusted over 50 mph (estimate) Recycling bin blew over and lots of leaves and garbage blown around but luckily no damage.
Rdd9108
Winds are howling here in the city. Lost power about 15 minutes ago. Time for bed though.
ChalkHillSnowNut
It's a hell of a lot windier here right now than it was ever last night! Wow
tsteel
Not much of anything here north of Pittsburgh last night, really just a 3 minute heavy downpour and probably about 30 mph wind gust. I think it was windier here this morning too, BTP got to 37 mph gust
Mailman
Looking like a nice blast of cold air next weekend.
Rdd9108
Hopefully we can see some accumulating snow with these upcoming cold fronts. Maybe some lake effect when a clipper passes by. Im also hoping for a 12+ snowstorm at some point this winter.
blackngoldrules
The models are picking up on a storm for the middle of next week. Something to keep an eye on.

ChalkHillSnowNut
from what I've been reading, meteorologists thinking this system is gonna miss wide right.... oh well...ill keep an eye on it thru sunday....hoping with weeniesm! hah
Rdd9108
Thats because meteorologists hug the GFS model only. Very few local news mets use the Euro to forecast. Im not gonna be surprised if we have a winter weather advisory tuesday or just a cold day. The fact is that the models have a storm and we shouldnt have mixing issues if we do get some precip. jwilson
It always seems like bad news to be hit a week out. I prefer to avoid looking for threats until the 72 hour mark or so. The chances of this storm going to Bermuda or Ontario are probably equal at this point in time.

joecon
Looks like a couple storms a week or 2 out but they both go to the south and east of us. It's early though and they are close so who knows?? In the short term looks like most of our snow will be of the Lake Effect Variety.
Rdd9108
Don't count out getting something. This is still 5 days out this could trend differently. I just want Jeff Verszylas winter forecast to bust really bad.

north pgh
Dream solution, but who knows at this point. I know it has a mind of it's own right now but I remember this model doing very well for storms last year.
