  1. Would be a cruel joke for the immediate NYC metro and eastward if this pans out
  2. Also in the UWS and I’m expecting a slushy half inch that gets washed away by afternoon so won’t be too upset if that doesn’t pan out. Would be annoyed if tomorrow doesn’t work out tho.
  3. Based on memory of past storms, anticipate some sort of correction on the position of the CCB, all depends on whether it’s East or West! Anyone know what is likelier for this storm? I recall the infamous Jan 2015 storm where the actual track was around 30 or so miles East and left NYC with scraps tho LI with monster totals.
  4. Any chance Watches get extended southward in the next update?
  5. Some of the other models have shown something similar though represented differently - they may be on to something
  6. That’s some cut off around the Queens - Nassau border up through Eastern Westchester and Putnam. Would be odd for Danbury to get less than Manhattan - I guess this is where the CCB would be parking itself?
  7. This is an open forum so I sort of expect it and just don't get bothered by it too much, but to each his own I guess.
  8. Eh, relax. I agree that there are some "interesting" posters who occasionally deserve a time out, but there are plenty of knowledgeable ones. Pretty easy to just filter out some of the nonsense if you ask me.
  9. What are the odds that this keeps up through at least a part of winter vs. reversing - lets say right around Dec 1?? lol
  10. First time since moving back to NYC from the Persian Gulf (Doha and Dubai) in 2013 that it has felt as nasty as it does in those locations during summer nights.
  11. Radar looks terrible (if you are sick of the dreariness), another washout tho at least it’s monday!
  12. Posted this earlier but moisture feed seems to be moving in a decidedly more NE direction. Some hope now for avoiding an all day washout.
  13. Plume of moisture beginning offshore in SC heading towards NYC metro. Looks like an all day event on tap.
  14. Wasn’t expecting to wake up to clear blue skies here in the uws, beautiful morning.
  15. Interesting path too considering the rain expected even in northeast MN. It’s a cutter for those areas that benefit from our cutters.
  16. From a pure heat perspective Death Valley has the Persian Gulf beat, but from a heat index perspective...it's really incredible (and quite unbearable) over there.
  17. Was at Disney for presidents day week, upper 80s (some records broken I think) and sunny each day, was awesome.
  18. Where were you for last weekend's stormS?
