  1. Storm coming into Annapolis has some of the best rotation of the day on it.
  2. It’s so close to the radars that I can’t tell how legit it is. Certainly looks good from TDCA and TBWI.
  3. Best thunder of the year. Lightning definitely can't be topped but these are super close cloud to grounders near me.
  4. Happy first day of (online) classes to me! Somehow, UVA still plans on holding in-person classes this Fall. Like we are much smarter then USC, Notre Dame, or UNC, haha.
  5. Storms keep trying and struggling. This one over Wheaton-Glenmont looks like it might have some luck.
  6. Is this the place where I complain about my 0.00” this afternoon? Least there were some morning storms.
  7. Yikes. Apologies for the bad knowledge of Maryland geography. Hope things are alright on the ground.
  8. So far just east of Ellicott City. Fingers crossed...
  9. Been sitting at the pool and watching storms keep trying to go up but then rapidly collapse. One over Clifton looks good though.
  10. It’s so hard to read past that pesky headline.
  11. It’s just casual analysis, tbh I don’t know what I’m talking about. I tried to word it carefully... we obviously want certain conditions to happen but I don’t think we’ve ever had a lock on it three months out. We don’t usually have a lock on it two weeks out. Smarter people then me can look at the super long range models and see good signs but IMO it’s not worth worrying about.
  12. LR winter analysis is a slight step above astrology, IMO. You can definitely identify warning flags, but we are just so reliant on flukes during winter that it’s hardly worth grumbling about/taking anything too seriously. Love the thread and the work though.
  13. Anyone feel an earthquake? I didn’t in Arlington, but my friends down in Charlottesville did. Looking on Twitter it looks like it was probably down in the Carolinas.
  14. Tor possible tag on that Frederick storm. Looks nasty.
  15. That whole area really is a mini-tornado Alley. Swear every storm that comes over the mountains rotated at least a little.
  16. Wow, this is a loud one for 5:00am.
  17. this is one of the worst pity warnings in recent memory. Barely anything greater than 20mph winds north of a line from Montclair to Waldorf.
  18. Super close strikes to my house. What a night.
  19. Windier than yesterday IMBY. Wouldn’t have guessed from the radar presentation.
