  1. If you add the weenie rule of the GFS underdoing the NW extent of the precip shield then that run is solid. I knew we’d get teased again.
  2. -SN in Charlottesville. First snow ob of the year.
  3. Yeah, my name is very misleading. Should change it to Tenman Johnson or something.
  4. FV3 out on TTT, FWIW. I'm assuming the thing over Iowa is the new piece of the puzzle that's kicking the storm out?
  5. Well, you are missing a MECS to the South. Me, who knows? Some guy keeps posting in the long-range thread that Charlottesville is the place to be. Though I might head back up to NOVA no matter what. Stupid me, valuing family over snow.
  6. This is could surprise someone somewhere. HRRR/3K have been shooting off nice snow showers. Extended HRRR below but they could reach inside the Beltway... won't be shocked if a SWS flies during tomorrow evening's commute.
  7. Swing and a miss at 18z. But I'm sure something will sucker people back in tonight.
  8. Asssuming @high risk is right (which he almost certainly is) here is the FV3.
  9. HDRPS/RGEM been calling for that. Not shocked. Trying to sneak in an 1”-er down here.
  10. 3k has some vigorous snow showers dotted throughout the subforum tomorrow.
  11. Was about to post this. This storm is going to decide how it’s viewed this whole winter.
  12. HRDPS and the RGEM keep upping the game. 1-2” coming in squalls would make up for the last miss.
  13. I’m a UVA student, so I’ll be in Cville for a good deal of the winter. In the same boat with my hopes for tomorrow.
  14. I’m counting on you to bring this one home. You not fretting this given your location is refreshing.
  15. FV3 remarkably consistent, but less amped. Knocks down totals for everyone by a little.
  16. I realize no one cares but the high-res RGEM is insistent on some convective snow showers in Central/Southern VA Wednesday. 3k NAM was also pretty nice.
  17. At this point I’d happily gamble with this.
  18. Big improvement for central/southern VA, somewhat so for western VA. Pulled back ever so slightly towards DC and MD.
  19. Can only find it on weathermodels and this is the best I can zoom.
  20. 18z GFS was a good hit for *ducks* Charlottesville.
  21. tossed that one out there, knew someone would take it
  22. about to dig out the Australian and Brazillian models
