  1. 102 is nice, moderate snow throughout the area. Looking more like a proper coastal. Freezing line just south of DCA, runs to Charlottesville. S of that supposedly snow until you get to RIC or so.
  2. It's a really healthy QPF shield as well. Nobody is fringed until you get to Connecticut.
  3. If I don't see a snowflake today I'm cancelling winter.
  4. Since nobody else answered you, it does, in fact, seem like the models have been taken off the site. Never used them so didn't notice they left, lol. I'm only versed in WeatherBell and Weathermodels.com, but either would probably fit your purposes. WeatherBell has become more unreliable and is $25 a month vs. Weathermodels, but the layout and graphics are better (IMO). Weathermodels is more frequently updated, as it is now Ryan Maue's pet project, and is considerably cheaper. But that site is a maze, with products hidden on sites within sites.
  5. I had mentioned something a few days ago about me observing that the ICON is good sniffing things out early but then loses storms at closer range. This might be another good example of that.
  6. Yep, the one thing Marvel could do to totally lose me is make her the thing that defeats Thanos. Maybe it’ll feel earned in the moment, but it would feel too much like a deus ex machina.
  7. Yeah, that’s what I meant lol. I’m not as excited for this movie as others but I trust Marvel so much at this point.
  8. Game isn’t that exciting but I bought my Captain Marvel tickets.
  9. Yeah, that’s true. But at the same time it’s WaPo... I think dismissing it as false is very foolish. And plus, that wasn’t mentioned in the post Yeoman was quoting. Couldn’t tell if he understood that the source wasn’t just some random person spouting off BS. That was more my point.
  10. In my meeting with Jason Samenow I mentioned this and he said it’s true. There are issues they haven’t been able to fix due to the shutdown. Both Jason and “Angela” are CWG journalists.
  11. I was keeping this on the down low since I wasn’t sure it would happen but I’m excited to say that I had a really great meeting with Jason Samenow from CWG this evening. He’s a great guy and I have him and the CWG to thank for developing my interest in meteorology. Also met Angela, who is very nice and has been doing great work for the CWG too.
  12. Not going to bother to share the snow map but since I know some people will care it's 1" across the area with Kuchera ratios. SW Virginia does best with 2-4".
  13. At 144 snow has dissipated around the metro, still nice and light in Central/Southern VA, little heavier towards Hampton Roads.
  14. Still lightly snowing at 138. Not sure it's going to all come together. At least it's cold enough that everything sticks.
