  1. Arlington: 5.2” Charlottesville (Grounds): 4” So not that different. Looking at a slight bust in Charlottesville unless we get in on some action later today, which I’m not sure we can pull off. Pic below is from Arlington and is very cute.
  2. 3.5” on my best measuring spot, but it’s now just ice pellets. Annoying. Not sure when/if we flip back. Also not sure when we flipped.
  3. That just looks like wunderground. Hitting the hay down here in Charlottesville, setting an alarm arbitrarily for 4:00 so I can go check what’s up. The mixed snow/ICEP report 10 miles south concerns me.
  4. Calling it 1.7” because the bottom of my ruler has some empty space. Definitely not high ratio snow.
  5. SN in CHO. Roads gone. Gonna grab my ruler in a second but I’m guesstimating 1.5”.
  6. I missed December 9th, so I’m not feeling the joy. Gonna remove myself from the forum and radar for awhile and take a walk and enjoy what I’ve got.
  7. Pavement finally trying to cave in Charlottesville. Been rough so far. Hanging around 30, can’t measure right now.
  8. 30 and snowing again. Too light to cave the wet streets for now.
  9. If I look outside, supposedly under 20dbz returns, and see nothing I’m going to lose it. Still .5” as of 9:55. I’m cursed.
  10. I’m very concerned for myself in Charlottesville
  11. Been lulling in Charlottesville for a few hours. Probably still stuck around .5”.
  12. CHO really doesn’t respond to radar returns. It’s inexplicable.
  13. Doesn’t snow in Charlottesville with returns overhead, does when they aren’t. Odd. 30/27 with somewhere around .5”
  14. Still snowing in Charlottesville despite any serious returns being 35 miles away.
  15. .4” as of 5:45. Still lightly precipitating but probably need some real returns soon.
  16. -SN in Charlottesville with no returns overhead, nice to see that persistent precipitation with no returns happens throughout the seasons.
  17. Solid -SN in Charlottesville. Heaviest of the day. Can actually see visibility dropping as I walk down a larger stretch of road. Appreciate the AFD emphasizing that south of Charlottesville is where the mixing is most expected, lol.
  18. ~25dbz returns aren't doing it down here in Charlottesville right now, which is odd because it was flurrying earlier with worse returns. 34/25
  19. If by south of DC you mean 60 miles south, and by DE you mean the furthest possible SE corner of Delaware, then yes.
  20. 12k shows the mixing issues in the central/southern part of Virginia pretty well. It's close and may very well end up being rate dependant.
  21. Extended HRRR isn't that cold. It's admittedly a bit on its own but it even has a portion of the area losing surface. I think verbatim the soundings still show snow for the period.
