    Busting about 10 degrees low in Charlottesville today due to fog and snow cover. Maybe I see a flake tomorrow morning?

    This looks like a great chance for everyone to score. While I'm obviously happy with this run, it's not hard to see where the run could've gone slightly differently and you have a real long mauling from North Carolina up.

    I'm calling it at 0.8" for Charlottesville. Will probably continue snowing for another hour or so though because that's just how we do. Very nice surprise. Felt like a positive bust even though it was fairly well modeled on the short-range models, other than the HRRR which had me raining. Suck it HRRR.

    ever since I got out of APS they've been the wimpiest school district in the area. they've been 2-hour delayed since 6:00pm today I think. fyi, for those who want to know why, they literally had a policy change because of the mid-November storm where they screwed the pooch. Now any snow pretty much at all means they preemptively 2-hour delay.

    Anyways, looking at radar it looks like that second band over West Virginia is going to move into your guy's area. Expecting @clskinsfan to report some snow obs soon.

    I've got .5" down in Charlottesville, which is pretty much the south, and I've got the best returns in the area right now. Might make a run at 1".

    no need to go to 180hrs for this event. and then subtract .5". And all the sleet/frza the GEFS algorithm counts.

    HRRR has been garbo with this one. Barely worth mentioning. As @Bob Chill mentioned it can't handle any of this crossing the mountain stuff well. Besides, it had me raining this entire event. Been all snow so far.
