  1. did you actually see the 06z? i don't think you want that to happen "if" that's the correct idea
  2. I don't think I've ever seen the ICON spit out more than 12" of snow, anywhere
  3. I bet you care about this one too, and it is… surprisingly not that notable?
  4. every outcome under the sun possible on the p-type maps. I’ll let someone smarter properly analyze the goods but my rookie read was the GEFS looked more suppressed than previous runs. though of course noting this is still sorta early in the overall window
  5. If you want the full picture just to torture yourself -- here you go.
  6. i get 7"in CHO while you flirt with grays... tough. snowtown.
  7. raleigh-durham dream run right there. some snow able to make it to DCA jusssttt barely at 144.
  8. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/January_2000_North_American_blizzard TL;DR: surprise snowstorm
  9. 99% sure it’s gonna be the Arlington tornado for me… couplet formed right overhead, (perhaps unwisely) went to get a look at the damage that night. Probably the closest I’ll ever want to be to a damaging tornado in the suburbs. Two distant runners-up: 1) Feb. 11 southern slider snow in Charlottesville 2) Ida remnants in Charlottesville with tornado, flash flood warnings
  10. There has to be a strong correlation between Jan 2000 references and mood downturns in this forum
  11. Not a bad mean. Some take it up the coast (obviously, see snow mean) but plenty of others have it being a bit of slider, see below.
  12. Webb throwing out the 2018 analog: journey to Charlottesville, anyone?
  13. It lands the snowicane in Massachusetts. Results are extraordinary, but not for us. Toss.
  14. Long day of anxiety in this pro-Steelers household. Sheesh @nj2va I was dying the whole game.
  15. maybe hot take: idgaf about a potential window setting up a block. getting a storm > setting up a block for a future fantasy storm That said, Friday's storm looks pretty toast on all the ens. Weirder things could and have happened, IG.
  16. I’ve got two left knees - I usually just go for the straight down and wipe out method. Only works at the worst east coast skiing sites.
  17. my biggest failure as a snow lover is that I cant ski. I just have zero body control -- literally can't figure out how to lean from one side to another to turn and I've got duck feet so the pizza/french fry thing fails.
