Great storm verbatim for SNE but we’d still cash in on a nice front end thump. 180+ so just another possibility at this point.

I was actually saying that I’m very content with the snow chances. I’m fine with the nickel and dime events. Nice to look at and doesn’t mess things up during the work week. Would I like a big storm, of course, but you take what you can get.

I’m not excited, it is what it is. An inch or two of snow tonight after an inch Sunday and potentially something more significant this weekend and next week. I’ll say it again, you don’t have to follow along if it doesn’t matter to you. We live in the NYC metro, snow doesn’t always hang around.

Up to 7, that may be the most I’ve seen lol. People will come on and post nonsense, just part of the forum, no biggie.

I’m not buying the models showing 3”+ but I do think the NAM is out to lunch. It’s been all over the place with this one. 1-2” is a good call here, with someone probably seeing 3

A lot of models showing 2-3” over morris county. That would be a nice surprise. Still thinking it’s closer to an inch which is also more than fine with me!

Between the two we already have open and this one, my preference would be to wait a couple more days and get better idea of the potential. We’ll still have more than enough lead time.

Definitely one way to look at it. For me it will be the second time it snows this week, where I get to enjoy watching it fall and don’t have to worry about any clean up during the work week. And then there a possibility for a slightly larger event in Saturday. That’s a pretty solid week IMO but to each their own.

Not to be rude but did you even read what I wrote? I never said anything about recognizing a snow event lol. I said you can recognize patterns. That doesn’t guarantee a thing, but it provides clues if you know what you’re looking at.

Even IF you’re one hundred percent correct, you understand you have the option to not follow along until three days out. you haven’t offered anything of substance other than saying we won’t get as much snow as the ops show. That doesn’t take any knowledge or skill. I don’t like snow maps past 3-4 days but you can definitely recognize patterns out to 10-15 days for sure.

I won’t hate on your excitement and I don’t disagree that the upcoming pattern looks conducive for snowfall. But I can’t understand why we’re posting maps past 180 hours let alone 300. This is why when we get a couple of decent storms, people are disappointed because of fantasy maps. It’s the same thing we decry about twitter. we get the pattern is getting better. We don’t need these maps

Just got back after a week away and there is still a lot of snow and it’s beautiful. I don’t think I’ve ever seen people complain as much for no reason as I have on this forum. It’s winter. It’s cold. There is snow. Relax!

Down in NC outside chapel hill for the day. Got to see my second snow event in the past 3 days.

One last gasp here. Hard to measure with the wind, but I’d say close to 5” in Morristown.
