  1. For now I'm hugging the HRRR at range cause it gives me the most snow
  2. Last week when this event first popped up and we were all worried about suppression, in the back of my mind I was thinking watch Boston end up with more snow than us. Oh, and I love how the NAMs get the snow to the end of my street, then hit a brick wall and dry up. But you have a point Ralph, looks like icy drizzle is a possibility tomorrow.
  3. 12Z NAM says I may still see some flurries from this “event”.
  4. Looks like 1"-2" on the 18Z NAM -- and that might be generous as I think some of that is sleet.
  5. Yeah that's my thinking atm...an inch or so before we changeover to slop. Still, considering how bad these last few winter have been, I'll take it.
  6. Just about to say, low in W VA at 84hrs with snow moving in.
  7. Weenie handbook rule #18: models struggle during blocking regimes.
  8. Sad thing is, we still jackpot per that run compared to NYC and DC...lol! Fortunately it's the NAM at range. Next!
  9. ^ If you want the best snows, you have to smell the pink Anyone have the kahonnies to start a thread for this event? Who has the hot hand??
  10. CMC south with wave #2, but let's get wave #1 locked down before worrying about anything else. Paging Dr. No...
  11. Imagine how boring this hobby would be w/o the GFS. Oh, and ch10 said maybe more snow showers next week.
  12. Coming down sideways, getting a light dusting with gusty winds.
  13. Couple of dippin' dots a little while ago under partly cloudy skies, 37F. Watching that blob over CoolHandMike, hope it makes it's way down here.
  14. More fluffy flurries furiously falling, 37F.
  15. Same here. So that's all it takes to get snow to fall around here--full sun. 34F.
  16. I know I’m getting older and maybe my memory is starting to slip, but as I recall 1996 was a very different winter. I think PENNDOT is going to have a lot of leftover salt and Greenskeeper is going to have a lot of leftover weenies. 37F, cloudy
  17. Are we tracking anything yet? Asking for a friend.
  18. Good thing March rocks! Picked up 1.1” overnight, 42F.
  19. And to be clear, I'm not looking for a HECS (but I'll gladly take one). Give me a 1"-3" or a 2"-4" type deal and I'm happy -- anything to whiten the ground and cover the grass.
  20. Funny you say this Ralph--I was thinking the other day that it seems the only way we've gotten snow around here in recent years is a big warm up that ends with a line of severe wx (the Wiggum rule). But yeah, despite the relative mild Jan, no huge warm up seems to be in store.
