  1. It did get down to 76F before temps began their rebound. High so far is 92F. Can we please put an end to this?
  2. 78F when I left the house this morning. Maybe it will tick down another degree or two, but this is insane for 9/6! Hope the Eagles have plenty of pickle juice on the sideline tonight.
  3. Bottomed out at 75F again. I'm starting to feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.
  4. If it was really hot, the nuns might march us down to the water fountain after recess. Everyone got 5 seconds at the fountain. If you stayed longer, you got smacked in the back of the head that your time was up! Anyway, just hit 90F.
  5. lol...yes!! I'm a survivor of 12 years of Catholic school and all the nuns would say was to offer it up to the souls in purgatory. Those nuns were bundled up head-to-toe in their habits (navy blue or black), so we weren't getting any sympathy out of them!
  6. Another overnight low of 75F. My average daily min this time of year is 59F.
  7. Started the day off with a light shower. The sun came out for a bit this morning but have been under cloud cover since 11-ish. High so far is 72F, but currently sitting at 71F.
  8. Only got down to 74F overnight. I believe my forecast had me making it into the upper 60's.
  9. Looks like the Atlantic starts getting active next week which would help pump the WAR. Guess the models are starting to see that, hence the return of the pig ridge. 92.6F/71DP
  10. 75F for a low this morning, 74F yesterday morning--heading in the wrong direction! Hopefully today is the last of the ludicrous heat as Redsky would say and tomorrow we start to back down to plain-old-uncalled-for-late-season heat.
  11. Watch...they'll have early dismissal all week because of the heat.
  12. 74F at midnight, been sitting at 68F all morning with a dp of 66F. There's a light mist falling, almost feels like early May out there after a back-door cold front pushes through.
  13. Been under cloud cover for much of the day, 83F for a high so far. Hate to think what it would be like under full sun. I agree with Birds -- don't know that I'd label it brutal, but its certainly been unrelenting. Just week after week of highs in the mid to upper 80's (an occasional 90) with ridiculous DPs. Even in our hottest summers, we get a cold front or two to give us some relief for a few days, but not this year. Looks like we may catch a break next week before the heat and high dews return to end Aug and kick off Sept. Enjoy!
  14. Another day, another blinding down pour! Some thunder and lightning, not much wind—just pounding rain!
  15. Early thoughts from Paul Pastelok of AccuWx -- leaning towards a hybrid El Nino (east/central based) with a +NAO. Let's hope that doesn't pan out cause that won't get it done for us. (Although it's hard to bet against a +NAO, seems like it's been years since we've had a sustained Atlantic block in the winter months.)
  16. Would it kill the weather gods to send a cold front through to break the humidity for a few days? My mold has mildew growing on it.
  17. It is a wild looking sky. As I said, I'm right on the edge -- off to my SE it's pitch dark with flashes of lightning, while it looks like the sun is trying to come out just to my west.
  18. Hearing some rumbles, but the heavy stuff looks to pass to my south. Can't believe Redsky keeps missing out. There are parts of my yard I haven't mowed since mid July. Everytime it looks to dry out, I get a heavy down pour and the swamp returns!
  19. Good thing I didn't post it's 19F with white out conditions
  20. Getting a light shower now. Temp down to 80F after a high of 87F.
  21. Total gully washer here atm. Thunder but little or no wind.
  22. Starting to hear some rumbles here, too. Looks like those storms entering SNJ are warned.
  23. Seems central Montco has been the Goldilocks zone -- no flooding rains, but a steady stream of showers/occasional downpour everyday to keep things wet out there.
