  1. It took until March, but I finally got a snow pack to last more than a week.
  2. Agree on all the above. 36F with a few flurries. The only thing notable about this "event" is this may be the last flakes we see until next winter.
  3. Filtered sun giving way to overcast skies. If I get any virga, I'll consider this "event" an over-performer.
  4. Early summer 2019 thoughts from AccuWx: Temps +1-2 above avg, near normal precip (which would actually feel dry considering this past year!)
  5. Paved surfaces still just wet, but cars and lawns are getting covered now. Temp down to 35F.
  6. I wouldn't call it a coating, more like a slushy film starting to cover grassy areas.
  7. White rain here...36F so everything is just wet & dripping.
  8. I was going to post this in the "Vendor" thread, but decided Elliot deserves his own thread... https://www.philly.com/entertainment/accuweather-elliot-abrams-retiring-20190228.html
  9. Three things that no longer exist in winter: Sustained -NAO's Miller A's Stat-padding clippers
  10. I have a dental app Monday morning, lock it up!
  11. Plenty of branches and limbs down in the yard when I got home this evening. Looks like I have some yard work ahead of me this weekend...oh wait, it's gonna rain again.
  12. Plenty of trash cans out in the roads on the ride in to work this morning. Saw 3 downed tress, all in the Maple Glen area.
  13. Wind virga. Only made it to 44F today. Skies are clear and the breeze is kicking up.
  14. 43F for a high so far. Really hoping we don't lose power, sump pumps have been busy (since last spring!!)
  15. I hate wind. (No, that's not an ob. Just a statement of ideological conviction.)
  16. Looks about 2" here. Currently 30F with freezing mist. The HRRR says that stuff in OH comes through later this evening. Should be plain rain for us SE PA folks, but looks icy for the LV.
  17. Went from a few random flakes to a steady light snow in a matter of minutes.
  18. 27F/11DP. The radar seems to line up pretty well with the hi-res models. Kamu looks to be first in line, hopefully he can tell us how much virga we're dealing with.
  19. lol...says the guy with 6 posts in 5 years. You're more than welcome to participate here, we're a friendly group. Anyway... I'm more of a Rita's guy -- mango or cherry (they mix well with vodka).
  20. I'm getting old. There was a time I'd roll out of bed in the middle of the night to watch the 0Z Euro roll in. Of course, this was back in the day when the Euro was a lot more stable than it seems today. I guess after years of tracking, my heart just isn't in it like it once was. Not saying I don't track, but I'm not as invested as I was 10-15 years ago.
  21. Saw a report this morning: since Dec 1, DC has had more snow than Philly, NYC and Boston combined.
  22. Looking like 0.5" for the day. Pleasantly surprised as I thought this would be a miss to the south (or a virga fest at the very least). Still have some tiny flakes drifting down, 20F.
