  1. Glad to hear! Kamu's snow pile is about the only tangible sign of winter we can cling to...lol! Topped out at 41F this morning, now down to 38F with a breeze picking up.
  2. Still haven't replaced my broken rain gauge. (Out of sight, out of mind. Getting to that age were I have to write notes to myself.) Anyway, temp up to 40F as more showers roll through.
  3. Temp down to 33F but now a mix of IP and rain. May have picked up .5" before the change over.
  4. Mod snow, temp down to 34F. Pavement mostly wet but grassy surfaces are getting coated.
  5. Looks like the 18Z NAM doesn't even give me mood flakes, just an all-out 100% rainer.
  6. We're gonna have to buy Ralph a new box of nails.
  7. Followed up by another southern slider next weekend (although Redsky may cash in on that).
  8. Looks like the GFS takes the low right over Philly up to Boston.
  9. Just under an inch again, about the same as last Saturday's "event". Kamu, if your pile survives the weekend, it will be solid as an iceberg Monday morning!
  10. Don't worry, I'm sure it will get filled in with flood watches/warnings before the weekend is over.
  11. I'm really liking the 1994-95 analog (unfortunately). I think this will be a colder version of that winter, but like 94-95 I think we'll get the majority of our snow with a single February storm.
  12. Welp, it's 1/15 and we're half way through met winter with not much to show for it. Some years it just wants to snow and other years it's like pulling teeth. I think we know what sort of winter we have on our hands. I think we're all a bunch of demoralized weenies at this point. Even if the pattern does shuffle around, it just has that feel to it of a year where if it can find a way NOT to snow, it will. Let's hope Thurs night produces because there doesn't seem to be much on the horizon afterward.
  13. About .75" here. Light snow continues to fall, 27F. The HRRR shows some more snow developing over SE PA a little later, but it's the HRRR so I won't hold my breath.
  14. Yep, I've officially crossed over from heavy flurries to light snow. Picking up a light dusting. In other news: The Cowboys will be cleaning out their lockers tomorrow!
  15. Starting to see the occasional tiny flake or two. (Note to self: Clean the windows.)
  16. 31F/DP 12. Could see the moon little earlier this evening but it's since disappeared behind the clouds. Radar filling in overhead. Guess it's time to go squint at the porch light.
  17. Looks like the Euro has 1"-2" for me. I'll gladly take since my expectations have been set at virga.
  18. That looks a lot like a storm we had late Feb '10 (I think). NYC on south got blitzed with snow and it was in the 50's and raining in New England.
  19. I've often wondered what's the most snow we could get from one storm in SE PA? Even PDII flipped to IP for a time. Despite how cold it was at the surface, there was warming aloft from a prolonged easterly fetch. If I recall correctly, the blizzard of '96 was all snow (at least here in central Montco).
  20. Yeah, but you gotta subtract the 4" they're getting tomorrow, so it's really only 38" or so. No wonder Ji is upset.
  21. Weenie handbook rule #1: Toss the model that gives the least amount of snow! Seriously, just whiten my lawn tomorrow and I'll be happy. Then we can start obsessing over next weekend's storm.
  22. The Jersey shore got crushed. Sunny skies back here along I-95.
  23. Getting some sun here already. Went to get the trash cans and looked at the lawn, the weeds are nice and green for early Jan.
  24. I'll give it to 1/15 before I go looking for the towel, but that 1994-95 analog is looking better by the day. I tried reading HM's tweets this morning -- sounds like it going to take some time (if ever) for the tropics sort themselves out.
