  1. Drove through there once to get to Dunkirk and it was like I went to another planet.
  2. Now that’s big time cold. The forecast low around SLK is -30.
  3. The P&C is even below zero here. I’m staying skeptical until I get there but it’s nice to be in single digits at 9pm. 9.0/-7
  4. That looks all snow to me. Solidly below freezing the entire column.
  5. Thanks, that’s what I figured—about once a winter. It’s gotta be pretty cold to be below zero 24 hours plus.
  6. So cool. Now to sports: my Raiders Lucky to be in the game after that first half.
  7. Yeah—fully sarcastic about the thread starting. I couldn’t care less. How often do you get those kind of days?
  8. Why three days? Given how this winter has gone, let's just start a thread once there are obs to report
  9. 13.4/-6 Hopefully we're able to over perform a bit here. All I want is to go below zero lol. Not sure I can get there.
  10. Go Bills! Good luck with the storm. I’m out for this one, but hopefully there’s another big dog event this winter that can draw me west.
  11. Was anyone able to record the pressure wave from the eruption? You'd see it on your barometer.
  12. The Great Blizzard of 1888 It sits in the Parthenon of CT blizzards with 1978 and 2013. Long duration monster with exceptional drifting. Runner up would be February 1899 While not the biggest event we've seen here in the region, the combination of snow and extraordinary cold across much of the US would be a sight to behold today. To see -2 in Tallahassee just defies logic today. Hell it's hard for me to even imagine a place like HFD going -5 now lol. https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/wefo/3/4/1520-0434_1988_003_0305_tgaoae_2_0_co_2.xml?tab_body=pdf
  13. Oh great, Titanic references. Fits the mood perfectly around here!
  14. Wow. Absolutely nuts. It comes in so fast there’s just nothing that can be done if you’re on the ground.
  15. Yasss that’s the good stuff. Awesome.
  16. That’s the recipe for a bulletproof pack, especially with the Arctic hounds apparently being ready to frolic in the region a week from now. Who am I kidding…we’ll probably see a highly anomalous cutter after a monster storm scoots harmlessly out to sea…and an arctic blast finds a way to evacuate just in time for the apps runner. Oh wait. Am I living in a time loop?
