  1. Was anyone able to record the pressure wave from the eruption? You'd see it on your barometer.
  2. The Great Blizzard of 1888 It sits in the Parthenon of CT blizzards with 1978 and 2013. Long duration monster with exceptional drifting. Runner up would be February 1899 While not the biggest event we've seen here in the region, the combination of snow and extraordinary cold across much of the US would be a sight to behold today. To see -2 in Tallahassee just defies logic today. Hell it's hard for me to even imagine a place like HFD going -5 now lol. https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/wefo/3/4/1520-0434_1988_003_0305_tgaoae_2_0_co_2.xml?tab_body=pdf
  3. Oh great, Titanic references. Fits the mood perfectly around here!
  4. Wow. Absolutely nuts. It comes in so fast there’s just nothing that can be done if you’re on the ground.
  5. Yasss that’s the good stuff. Awesome.
  6. That’s the recipe for a bulletproof pack, especially with the Arctic hounds apparently being ready to frolic in the region a week from now. Who am I kidding…we’ll probably see a highly anomalous cutter after a monster storm scoots harmlessly out to sea…and an arctic blast finds a way to evacuate just in time for the apps runner. Oh wait. Am I living in a time loop?
  7. Yeah, I figured, but I’m all for thundersleet peeling the paint off my car. What a presentation on IR and radar.
  8. What a nuke that’s detonating over your head. Enjoy and send obs even if some of the weenies here try to exile you lol.
  9. Whiff—>arctic blast—>rainer Can’t make it up lol At least there’s some eye candy.
  10. Awesome. Good luck and safe travels! I love it when you make an appearance If the home cooking is good, it’s an easy call If you’re traveling hours for wx, it should be higher end stuff. Just my humble opinion. I’m no mental health professional, but if lack of snow is causing legitimate mental health challenges—nobody on here is going to alleviate that effectively. That’s serious stuff that requires help, and there’s nothing wrong with getting that help—from a professional.
  11. First map I've seen from BUF. Looks like an absolutely frigid night east of Ontario. Decided against heading west for this one, but with the pattern LEK highlighted earlier, it won't be long until it's WxWatcher Wagons West
  12. I was all set with anomalous warmth when the January 2020 blowtorch rolled through. 70 in January is the wrong kind of obscene to me.
  13. Euro has been a little aggressive with the cold from what I've seen the last few weeks, but that's a big boy Arctic shot. If we're going to screw up all the snow threats, bring on the epic cold.
