  1. That probably won’t be a focus for most here either after tonight.
  2. I feel like, as with almost everything else in the news, many people in the US have sort of forgotten about it or don't care.
  3. Wow, what a gradient, 100 mi to your WNW in Greenfield It has been almost continuous snow cover and currently we have 4 inch pack of absolute glacier with big plow piles all over town. That being said it is much different even just 10mi S of here so it has definitely a latitude gradient, although those S interior areas did do very well in the big December storm.
  4. @Juliancolton That was last year‘s list I posted which is fine but I meant to post this year‘s list: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.masslive.com/entertainment/2019/12/fran-bellamys-10-best-dining-experiences-of-2019.html%3foutputType=amp
  5. @Juliancolton These are not all in Springfield but several are in around Springfield and for the most part I agree with his list. https://www.masslive.com/life-and-culture/erry-2018/12/3f4bf197da7753/fran-bellamy-10-best-dining-ex.html
  6. It’s ironic because they had the earliest opening ever due to good temperatures in November and a great start to December and now January is the meh’ month. Luckily the Greenfield recreation department ski program will give us a rain check if tomorrow is lousy.
  7. Taking my kid to B'East the next 4 Saturdays for lessons and some turns for me and the wife. Expecting meh' conditions in the rain tomorrow but I'll still get some runs in.
  8. MPM would through his laptop through the window with that gradient.
  9. It was nice to get the driveway mostly ice free today. Based on no meteorology, I am calling for a rainer every Saturday in January, since I have invested hundreds of dollars in lessons and lift tickets for the family for those days.
  10. Most modeling have a system moving through just not great agreement on track and strength.
  11. The 4mi drive home from friends house in town took about 20 minutes. Quick whiteout squall. Good start to the new year!
  12. Current squall just dropped .25" in about 20 minutes.
  13. @40/70 Benchmark Ray and I are in lock step with our snow totals this year. 28". Good December.
  14. Rain in December sucks but it’s nice to have the driveway back down to pavement again.
  15. Yeah and Bill is not just IPA centric, he makes all styles well.
  16. Maine has maybe the best under-hyped craft brew scene in New England. My niece's boyfriend is head brewer at Foul Mouthed in S Portland. I loved Hidden Cove when I stopped in back in October.
  17. As a kid my dad would take us out as long as it was over 3" of black ice. We would also cut test holes every 50' or so.
  18. A friend of mine fished Cranberry Pond in Sunderland/Leverett and told me 4" of black ice. That's pretty solid. It's also been real cold here this week, today was first day above freezing and it's already back down in the mid-20's.
  19. Ice fishermen were out on Barton Cove on the CT River this morning!
