@Juliancolton These are not all in Springfield but several are in around Springfield and for the most part I agree with his list.

Flying Cloud, Mini Dole and UMass aren't opened. Can't say I remember those runs being closed in January. If you know the dates you are skiing, BE offers discounts for advanced purchase. Use their calendar to reload you're RFID card.
It’s ironic because they had the earliest opening ever due to good temperatures in November and a great start to December and now January is the meh’ month. Luckily the Greenfield recreation department ski program will give us a rain check if tomorrow is lousy.

Taking my kid to B'East the next 4 Saturdays for lessons and some turns for me and the wife. Expecting meh' conditions in the rain tomorrow but I'll still get some runs in.

It was nice to get the driveway mostly ice free today.
Based on no meteorology, I am calling for a rainer every Saturday in January, since I have invested hundreds of dollars in lessons and lift tickets for the family for those days.

Even I...the ultimate snow lover....would have a hard time getting up for a 2-4" snowfall in early January if I lived in Bethel or somewhere else with similar snow climo. Too bad the more dynamic solutions have been lost....even some of the ones that gave SNE nothing at least were giving 8-10" up north in a wide swath.
N Greens have best shot at a few inches. If this thing loses any more dynamics and shreds out I could see even Bethel getting only 1-2".
Hopefully it surprises and all the mountains get 4 to 6"

Some people forget the snowiest winters often do not peak until late Jan early Feb... Sometimes biggest event isn't until Mar
I’m almost halfway to season average snowfall.

With that being said.... kind of a precarious setup... I’ll give it until 12z tomorrow
Yup and always has been despite selective model hugging by weenies with snow goggles.

Is the "Wednesday" event still showing signs of life or gone?
Most modeling have a system moving through just not great agreement on track and strength.

The 4mi drive home from friends house in town took about 20 minutes. Quick whiteout squall.
Good start to the new year!

Current squall just dropped .25" in about 20 minutes.

Decent snow shower here.

@40/70 Benchmark Ray and I are in lock step with our snow totals this year. 28". Good December.

I am still geeking out on the thundersleet. It wasn’t just a token flash or two it was full on 20 minutes of thunder and heavy sleet!
-
2.25-2.5” here. Microdust still coming down.
Low total accumulations but fairly high impact considering it was almost all sleet and roads were a mess all day.

Nice. CNE ftw.
In all fairness to @Damage In Tolland in terms of sensible winter wx, I feel like anywhere W of Gardner and N of RT 2 is Central New England.

Wind sounds like it is puffing pretty good a few hundred feet above my house.

Wow, what a gradient, 100 mi to your WNW in Greenfield It has been almost continuous snow cover and currently we have 4 inch pack of absolute glacier with big plow piles all over town.
That being said it is much different even just 10mi S of here so it has definitely a latitude gradient, although those S interior areas did do very well in the big December storm.
