With that being said.... kind of a precarious setup... I’ll give it until 12z tomorrow

The 4mi drive home from friends house in town took about 20 minutes. Quick whiteout squall.
Good start to the new year!

Current squall just dropped .25" in about 20 minutes.

Decent snow shower here.

@40/70 Benchmark Ray and I are in lock step with our snow totals this year. 28". Good December.

I am still geeking out on the thundersleet. It wasn’t just a token flash or two it was full on 20 minutes of thunder and heavy sleet!
-
2.25-2.5” here. Microdust still coming down.
Low total accumulations but fairly high impact considering it was almost all sleet and roads were a mess all day.

Nice. CNE ftw.
In all fairness to @Damage In Tolland in terms of sensible winter wx, I feel like anywhere W of Gardner and N of RT 2 is Central New England.

Wind sounds like it is puffing pretty good a few hundred feet above my house.

A good 3/4” to 1” of sleet /hail
At least the ground is white, right?
-
Earlier I was questioning the wisdom of clearing the driveway before it ended but I’m glad I did because there is a fresh inch of sleet since then.

Me neither. Absolutely pounding sleet. .25” past 30 minutes.

At least 5 good strikes here.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it sleep this hard. Just had another bright flash and bang.

N Greens have best shot at a few inches. If this thing loses any more dynamics and shreds out I could see even Bethel getting only 1-2".
Hopefully it surprises and all the mountains get 4 to 6"
