  1. If we get a good NNE snow year next year you will be well served to go do an overnight trip to Sugarloaf. Badass mountain. Stunning back roads drive from your location too.
  2. Good, now let’s just keep it dry.
  3. I am teetering C-/D+ Skunked in January skunked in March and Franklin county did not get the October snow.
  4. I am in a little more rural area than you so spring is the time when I can experience nice weather and no bugs yet. Plus I don’t really like high heat.
  5. There were flurries in Greenfield around 10 PM but that’s it.
  6. Wow, it looked like the casting call for Rudolph!
  7. We’ll see. It’s kind of a kick in the nuts if Plymouth gets 5” and Berkshire East gets 0. Kind of how this winter has gone I suppose.
  8. Exactly .50” that’s already at the top of most modeling here.
  9. The bubble will go on for as long as it is working for the "too big to fails" because the Justice Department is a neutered ghost when it comes to the crimes of financial institutions. Under Clinton, Bush and Obama Wall St was allowed to break laws with impunity and prosecutions were almost non-existent. All of this occurring under the false premise that the "collateral damage" to the global economy that would ensue from major banking institutions failing would be devastating to the general public. Massive criminal financial fraud occurred during the Savings and Loan meltdown and what happened? Almost nobody was charged and the taxpayers bailed out the banks. Protecting the little guy by not indicting the mastermind financial thieves and their minions because of the "irreparable financial harm" it would cause is such a crock of shit. Look at the GameStop nonsense, the Justice Department puts the spotlight on a bunch of apes* on Reddit instead of the corrupt hedge funds that created the climate of corruption that allowed the WSB crew to actually stick it to the institutions for a few days. There were hedge fund managers saying the GME fiasco was a criminal attack on the wealthy by r/WSB and I saw people on social media actually taking the institutions side. *(I'm not being mean, that's what r/wsb likes to call themselves)
  10. I understand what @Typhoon Tip is saying though. My winter mindset is really Nov 15 to February 15 and summer from May 15 to Aug 15 and then I'm emotionally transitioning to the next season no matter what the models are spitting out. Yes it snows in March and yes there are September beach days but I'm already shifting gears mentally knowing the end is near.
  11. There was a huge 2 story bowling alley at the end of RT2 on the Cambridge/Arlington border. It would be mobbed most nights of the week with league and casual players. It's high end condos now. Bowling alleys were everywhere in the 70's.
  12. I'm a solid 10" below normal with a skunked Jan and now March. I believe I only hit 0F twice. Probably won't be able to grade better than C- here.
  13. Steaming it with a tea kettle to meet forecast expectations.
  14. We had a phenomenal pinball hall the next town over from me (Turners Falls) but sadly Covid shut it down permanently. I'd get a machine for home but prices are absolutely insane the past few years.
  15. Oh' interesting. Being from MA I grew up on candlepin of course but only remember playing duckpin somewhere near where my brother lived in Bath Maine. The balls were awkward as a kid. I'll have to check out the place in Chelmsford when I visit my family there. Bowling alleys are becoming extinct sadly. We still have two in Franklin Co. I guarantee there are probably some abandoned basement alleys scattered around New England.
  16. I always thought duckpin was a Maine thing.
  17. I’m getting really sick of seeing that picture of him. I keep picturing metal blades coming out of his hands like Wolverine.
