  1. Couple of decent size pines are down in my backyard but no damage to house etc.
  2. Oaks, maples and other hard woods cause more damage, more often than white pines.
  3. Waning some now but that was some crazy ass wind from about 9 to 11. Heard some good cracks in the neighborhood, we’ll see what daylight brings. Lights have flickered but are still on, Comcast is down though.
  4. I am in a one story, well-built house and I can feel the wind. I had to go out with a flashlight about 10 minutes ago because I thought one of the recent guests might’ve torn siding off the back of the house.
  5. Roaring jet engine winds up high. My white pines are swaying like wheat in a field. Very impressive gusts the past hour. The anxiety over a tree falling on the house is not the most fun but pretty intense wind event here.
  6. Wind is roaring up high. Some pretty good gusts at ground level too. Power went out for about 5 minutes.
  7. Average here is 58-60” and I’m at 47” so definitely below normal with time running out. I’m even with ‘Berg in SW CT so definitely flirting with C- territory relative to “normal”.
  8. Yes. Currently a C/C- here but a warning event in March could change that. However, a snowless March and it’s a D.
  9. Embrace the cold and dry, it’s the only cold and dry you have.
  10. A little over 1” new. Over to some pellets now. At least it looks like winter still.
  11. Although it won't be a memorable February it has had good winter appeal. Lot's of nickels and dimes.
  12. Of course there will probably not be quite enough rain to wash it away off the driveway and then it will freeze tonight.
  13. It took me a second look at your post to realize you captured the East and West views almost simultaneously.
  14. Yeah, full winter moons are awesome! Clouds moved in tonight but last night it was so bright off the snow it was like twilight at 10pm.
  15. I shot this last night from the front yard.
  16. Gorgeous! I saw the moon rising tonight and was in awe at how big it looked but could not get to an open view before the clouds moved in. It was like a 10 minute race that I lost driving across town.
  17. 28/17. Tomorrow looks like weak sauce but should start white here before wet.
  18. Nice sunset earlier. This was from downtown Greenfield.
  19. I would prefer snow but dry is far better than weeks of 30's and 40's that are cloudy and damp or cutters every 4-5 days.
  20. Would need to be flying pretty low to shake houses but certainly possible.
  21. I also have 2 friends in W MA who had covid positive tests with what I would call moderate symptoms and nobody else in their households caught it or tested positive. Weird.
