  1. Pelting sleet in Greenfield at the moment.
  2. JFC, people snapping left and right. https://www.boston.com/news/local-news/2023/02/09/andover-home-father-mother-son-found-shot-dead/?amp=1
  3. It would look like a power grid disaster.
  4. Family find him rocking on the floor in the fetal position with his Cold Miser doll.
  5. The reports of damage and businesses affected by burst pipe around here, has been unbelievable this week. Seems way worse than anything I heard about in 2016.
  6. With every passing year you get more fearful of falling. Most winters I keep a dedicated pair of shoes near the front door with spikes on them. One of our former assistant brewers was an ER nurse before she got into the beer world. She said winter ER visits from slipping, numbered in the hundreds in Greenfield alone.
  7. Greenfield to Brattleboro will get stuck in the low 40’s.
  8. Hey, chin up, you’ve always got the edge of seat, nailbiting joys of tracking severe in the spring!
  9. The reality is, this disaster of a winter, could turn into a “see you in May” type of situation, in terms of enjoyable weather, from either side of the fence. Sure there will be nice days, today included but I’m certainly not going to lose sleep over weeks of 40s with intermittent rain and brief frozen events. All you can do is just keep truckin’ on.
  10. Precipitation is done here. Coating of sleet.
  11. Didn’t the WWA go right to the MA/CT border?
  12. Oh yeah also freezing rain here. Car had a nice coating on it when we came out of the scout meeting.
  13. Peltfest here 32/18. I can see why they issued advisories though. Roads are slick. Heavy coating of sleet everywhere.
  14. It’s been November since early November
  15. Low DP’s past two days so not a lot of melting going on here. The same can’t be said for this subforum.
  16. GFS and Canadian look like perpetual November continues in SNE. Not much frozen precipitation and not really any big warm ups. Clouds, occasional sunny days and upper 30's to low 40's from W to E for highs. Coast warmer but still blah.
  17. Beginning of MA school vacation week and Presidents Weekend. We are heading up to see friends in North Conway. I half expect a torching cutter. Seems to happen frequently for that weekend just like our Christmas grinch storms.
  18. 15/8. Didn’t expect to drop that low.
  19. The Greenfield FD guys told me they lost count of how many calls they went out on for sprinklers and burst pipes. I know of at least a dozen businesses just in Greenfield that were water damaged.
  20. Great, nice burst of warmth to really bud the fruit trees and then arctic plunge.
  21. Nothing to track until severe season? Oh, wait, there’s nothing to track then either.
  22. Speaking of scouts and camping I recently found out there is is scout camp on Nantucket. I’m hoping to organize a trip there this summer with the kids because it’s the only way I could ever afford to stay out on the island.
  23. Overnight low 22° mostly sunny morning, should be a nice day.
