  1. I would say for most who live under 600’ elevation in MA even.
  2. You’ll definitely get a couple but I think we are headed towards a solution where the places that get more than 1-2” are few and far between.
  3. I could have told you that days ago. Lol Still 38F here. Couldn’t get above the upper 30’s all week now can’t get below.
  4. Hopefully we get that to come to fruition. I am so sick of staring at brown, dull landscape.
  5. Yeah because we are real worried about that still.
  6. They have been a rare breed over the past decade.
  7. I’m going to need some good rates or it will just be white rain in the valley. Hopefully pull off 1-2” to lift the spirits.
  8. .75" of rain spread over 48 hours with temperatures mainly in the 30's. Tough 1st week of January here. #wheresmytorch
  9. Someday buddy, someday We will gleefully shovel, feet of CMC projected snowfall and all will be right with the world
  10. Ya' that's a few inches down into Greenfield. Just let the pattern at least bring some nickel bag storms please.
  11. Just looking back and seeing that this week five years ago (2018)had a pretty impressive cold shot. Delayed opening at schools due to wind chill.
  12. I mean at this point I'm not even feeling a vibe that winter wants to get going in SNE. We moved to Greenfield in 2007 and this is the least amount of total snow to date that I have experienced. Obviously the 14" in Oct 2011 skewed that a bit.
  13. Well, we do need an E Canadian region cold source.
  14. I don't generally talk about personal stuff on AmWx but I love and miss contributing to the ski forum. In March 2021, I was at Berkshire East and my kid ran into me, getting off the quad and tore my ACL. I knew at the time, something was ripped and assumed ACL. I got the full mountain rescue sled ride down. It took about a week to get an MRI and my ACL assessment was correct but I also had hairline fractured my femur and tibia. Since I had already walked around on them for a week, the orthopedist said there was nothing else to do but use crutches, start PT at that point and go talk to a sports surgeon. The orthopedic surgeon basically talked me out of ACL replacement because of all the complications that nobody likes to discuss. That's a story for another post. The long and short of it is that I have barely done anything on skis since March of 2021. There is a brace I am getting fitted for that will allow me to ski but certainly not woods or moguls. I am just looking forward to getting back out on the slopes with my kid at the end of the month or early February. I would have been back out sooner but I decided I was not diligent enough with certain rehab exercises and wanted to get fitted for the right brace. Anyway, that's my story and I am determined to get back on the slopes this year, even if I am just doing Green trails.
  15. The Schaefer family keeps that mountain going no matter how much the weather doesn't cooperate. It's our local mountain and I am looking forward to getting back on the slopes this year!
  16. It would be pretty sweet if KHSE could 5x Boston’s snowfall to date, in January.
  17. It would be nice to get at least some nickel and dime storms rolling in an active pattern.
  18. Break the spirit of the weather weenies and you can dominate!
  19. What a brutal day. Moderate rain and temperatures in the upper 30s.
  20. My FB "memories" feed has been torturing me with snow pictures. LOL
  21. Ha, MMA foolishness aside, it's not really a sport.
  22. I'd be in the ER from any type of hit on a professional football field. Honestly, I am surprised there are not more incidences of organ failure.
  23. In my younger days I hung with a few high skill Chinese Kung Fu guys and they would discuss how palm strikes, as opposed to a more precise straight punch, were the ideal chest blows. Had the best chance of disrupting the heart beat, supposedly.
