  1. This is all we can hope for at this point:
  2. They say it with their eyes though, don’t they?
  3. Fine with that! I also feel like when we look at models potential for extreme winds in cutters, it’s rare that their apex comes to fruition.
  4. I’m a little maxed out on the bizarre heat waves, when do we get some freak blizzard action?
  5. I’m hoping things play out differently the week after Christmas as they are currently models. It’s one thing to have your natural snow wiped out but if your man-made base gets decimated it’s a whole other level of suck.
  6. I know, that’s why last night I was saying I might take a pass on going with my friend to the Winter Classic at Fenway. I would be homicidal if I had to sit in warm rain to watch a hockey game.
  7. Could probably just still call it late autumn clean up.
  8. I look at it this way, you can make a knowledgeable call about a baseball game for instance. “Yankees batters have this guy’s number, they’re going to crush the ball tonight” Then they proceeded to hit a dozen 400 footers but they all go foul and lose the game. The way I look at it, your prediction is spot on, it just didn’t pan out the way you thought it would. Same with the weather.
  9. I am supposed to go to the winter classic at Fenway with an old friend and I’m hoping we don’t get a torching rainer on NYD or the 2nd. There were some hints of that but way too far out to tell.
  10. I drove through your old neighborhood today and you would have been furious about how much snow fell just west of there. 6-8” at the old Pit and 15-20” in Heath and Rowe.
  11. The shot is just from a few hours ago driving through Heath.
  12. I was up in Heath visiting friends today and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a bigger snow gradient than what we saw this storm. there is 16 to 18 inches at her house which is about 1200 feet elevation. Half of that or less when you drop down to about 900 foot elevation. Big east to west gradient also. Heath and West side of Colrain had similar amounts but when I got into MPM‘s old neighborhood it was probably half the amount of snow. Similar elevation just big gradient. Same thing with Dave and Whineminster and Subdude. I think they are all at or above 1000’ but were not even close to the totals at the same elevation in western Franklin County.
  13. We’ll, at least nobody gets left out!
  14. My niece and her boyfriend just got back from Spain and said it was amazing. Beautiful weather, great food and super laid back, wonderful people in the countryside.
  15. Let's just have it cut W of Wisconsin and get some warm breezy Fropa showers before the temps' crash. Don't need pouring rain or high winds.
  16. I just poured myself a professionally brewed, 10% blueberry barley wine, that I helped design, so I'm feeling better about my weather situation now.
  17. I just picked up my kid from a friends house 3 miles away and it was a completely different snow covered landscape.
  18. I mean, really? Greenfield is that tiny green dot in the sea of blue.
  19. Yeah, Greenfield is the even smaller dot of rain on that radar image.
  20. You can't make this shit up. Lower elevations South of here are snowing now. I'm sure it has something to do with topography but man it's a grab the ankles and retreat to your happy place night. I can drive to snow in any direction regardless of elevation. I'm done melting now, even if the last of my snow cover isn't, carry on.
