  1. Greenfield is already over 70” for the year. This will probably bring us close to 73” That’s basically two years worth of rain in one year.
  2. I don’t think Greenfield has had a gust over 25mph. Outside of severe, the upper valley is where wind goes to die. Absolutely torrential rain the past two hours though. At noon I’m going to take a drive to check some of the streams and rivers.
  3. The stream flooding around here is much worse than last week. Everything I’ve driven by today is already over its banks with moderate to heavy rain still falling.
  4. Wow, 61° here. As usual, winds are insignificant in the vallley but over 2” of rain.
  5. I’m going to hit 70” of rain for the year I think.
  6. That’s why I don’t have a snow stake in my yard. I’d rather not watch it go down.
  7. Well, January is coldest climo so it’s good for snow retention but yes, once you hit February, the pack is going to go down in full Sun, even if it’s 30° for a high. As a kid that would drive me crazy.
  8. Cold enough to be burning wood and oil to heat the house yet no snow or pond ice, combined with 4 o’clock sunsets kind of got to me this year.
  9. Happens. Maybe not snow to the beaches of NC but rains to while it snows well South.
  10. Pretty nice day today. Sun feels warm. If we are not going to have snow on the ground I’ll take 50° in December.
  11. Yeah, different type of storm than last week, they will howl near the coast. Less impressive over deep interior.
  12. That jack zone is East of the CRV.
  13. I think that Dec 81 storm was nbd in W NE.
  14. Yeah, we have a dusting of rimed flakes tonight. When I walked the dog it was lightly snowing with almost clear skies.
  15. Wind tonight was actually more impressive than last Sunday’s storm.
  16. Bound to change but yeah, that is some misery days right there. I'd rather it just be sun and upper 50's
  17. I can't help it, I'm a social person and nothing like a good browse through a book store.
  18. At least it’s not on a weekend.
  19. Parts of SNE are so far above normal wrt rainfall that you would think that would start to average out with some drier stretches.
  20. Congrats, you found a station near the southern terminus of a 400 mile river, that hit minor flood stage from the prolific rains. I’m the fool for downplaying the threat.
  21. Yeah, wind never a factor here. I forgot to weight my wood tarp yesterday and it didn’t get blown off.
