  1. I bet MPM’s old place and the surrounding hills near me are similar.
  2. I think I’ve hit 90° 3 times but the weeks of high dews were impressive if that’s your fetish. Persistent pattern indeed.
  3. Remarkable that we got almost no rain in Greenfield. A trace at best. I would’ve planned my Friday differently knowing that.
  4. What’s the prognosis on that reopening? I think there’s probably lots of microcosms in Vermont, that are still reeling from water damage but most people outside of those areas have forgotten about it.
  5. Last nights map from Box had widespread 1”+ for much of MA. Probably a bust at this point…
  6. When is my 1 -1.5” of rain arriving? Asking for a friend.
  7. A couple of loud claps of thunder in Greenfield but not a drop of rain yet.
  8. Pretty bright morning here actually. Trying to get some yard stuff in before the rain.
  9. Heat doesn’t look crazy high though. Lots of 80s but not seeing any heat wave.
  10. Seeing the orthopedic MD in two weeks to get fitted for a brace that will let me ski with my lack of ACL. I won't be in the trees, moguls or on the blacks but at least I'll be skiing this year!
  11. 18.5" here. I wouldn't care if didn't rain between now and Labor Day.
  12. Please don't dilute the discussion with model analysis.
  13. As far as ground wasps and yellow jackets go, we are getting into the season where they are getting active. I go out and take some time to patiently scout the yard. I look for flying wasps and then you can pick up their flight pattern and destination pretty quickly. Saves you a painful experience mowing and possible trip to the ER. You may not think you are allergic but if you get lit up by a dozen or more stings you are going to swell up and if mildly allergic, that many stings could be a hospital visit.
  14. I did this two summers ago. I left the vac in the sun for a day to kill them. Unfortunately it did not eliminate the nest. There were tons of dead yellow jackets in the shop vac when I opened it.
  15. Another .20” this evening. The atmosphere just can’t help but rain around here this summer. Our neighborhood has not been too bad but people are really complaining about mosquitoes up and down the valley.
  16. GEFS looks a little above normal heading towards mid month but nothing outrageous. Typical dog days of August. Looks worse for the Mid-West.
  17. Models backing off the WAR a bit. Big humidity summer but temperatures have been pedestrian with regard to daytime highs.
