  1. I was living on the hill in Arlington and we lost power for at least a day.
  2. You would need 3”+ to get any flooding though.
  3. It’s not like whiff, whiff, cutter is a pattern unfamiliar to NE. Happens.
  4. Steady light rain and 39°. What a disaster week of weather. Have maybe seen an hour or three of sun in the past seven days. Brutal
  5. Should finally be some legit cold air to work with in the 2nd half of January. I wouldn't mind a wrecking ball SWFE that drops a foot of cement and then freezing drizzle. You know, something that looks like a massive cutter and then, 72 hours out, models start to morph into a South shunted primary, with a potent coastal developing under LI for a big interior snower. That kind of storm, hey?
  6. With veteran bands, even if their not so great albums, have great moments on them.
  7. Well, it’s better than the “Technical Ecstasy” disaster. They then brought Ronnie Dio in and just crushed it with “Heaven and Hell”. Sorry for the nit picky Black Sabbath diversion from weather talk. Nothing has changed in Greenfield all week, it’s been in the 40s with fog, clouds and occasional drizzle.
  8. Never Say Die is not their best effort, it’s not surprising they brought Dio in to replace Ozzy.
  9. We have not seen the sun in the valley for days.
  10. Close to 75" here, much of that since June 1st. That's basically 2 years of rain. Fortunately most of today's precipitation is South and East of here.
  11. Jeezuz, that’s a bit more than my average!
  12. Fantastic, it’s already raining here even though the forecast said after 4 PM.
  13. Enjoy your vacation! It's good to get out of town and gain perspective.
  14. Proper use of correcting the vernacular there, carry on.
  15. Not even great snow making temperatures until the weekend. Disaster ski vacation week. Then again, people should know better by now, not to book a Christmas week ski vacation in New England.
  16. I barely broke 40F and the fog is now thicker if anything.
  17. Fog never lifted out of the valley today. The visibility along route two still a quarter mile or less. 40° dense fog and bare ground isn’t the most uplifting in late December. I’ll get out in the woods with the dog later because I do enjoy a foggy day in the woods.
  18. and full of Christmas spirits... I've had a few pops but I haven't driven all day.
  19. Could use Rudolph's red nose tonight. Holy fog. Just walked the doggo and visibility was about 1/8 of a mile.
  20. I got a mosquito bite on my arm in the yard this morning.
  21. (Tom Waits: Christmas card from a hooker in Minneapolis)
  22. Cloudy in the valley, I fear we don’t see much Sun here this week.
