  1. It’s been more like a black hole for two years. I can work with a shadow. Whitening the grass is a huge win at this point.
  2. I’m trying not to get too invested in this. It’s been a brutal stretch and don’t need to set myself up for heartbreak. I will say that a good portion of this could be during the daylight hours, which in my book is always a big win.
  3. That would put me at a solid 130% of my seasonal total last winter. Bring it.
  4. This year has been obscenely wet down here. Let’s hope we can get some decent cold into the mix going forward—big ask I know.
  5. Enough of the gd heavy rain every week.
  6. I saw mosquitoes flying around outside today. WTF.
  7. It's funny. In my memory that winter was an absolute dumpster disaster, but we actually got like 38". I would kill for that kind of season these days.
  8. This is obviously wrong. It shows 0.2” at my house. That’s waaay too high.
  9. It really does feel like we’ve had an exceptional number of 4”+ events this year.
  10. Oh it's Grinchy, but nowhere near as painful without snow on the ground. That massive cutter we had a few years back that wiped out a foot of pack on Christmas Eve was absolutely excruciating. Rain on bare ground sucks, but not like that.
  11. Nice 939mb low in clown range GFS. Hazey blown away. Not sure I've ever seen a low modeled that strong in the cold season.
  12. Congrats to all seeing flakes! No dice down here, but hopefully we'll see some before Torchmas.
  13. Lol, would getting more than my entire winter ‘23 season in November qualify as regressing to the mean? I hope so.
  14. I feel like I couldn’t even get a fantasy storm last winter, so I’ll take these teases as a good augury for this year.
  15. I don't think I've ever seen a high rise leaning over after a cane before. That is unreal damage.
  16. This is crazy. Sort of reminds me of the manhunt in Boston for the marathon bombers.
  17. Man what an impressive radar towards Boston. Thank God this isn't winter. This thing would've sent the WOR crowd running for the nearest bridge.
  18. Fascinating. A neighbor of mine has one, but I never knew the fruit was edible.
