That was a pretty wild storm. Wind seemed to switch around to all directions from one moment to the next. Patio furniture survived, but fence is crushed and I think my canoe/kayak are too. this was a throwback way to end a heatwave. Reminds me of July ‘95.

Looks like a roughly 30-40 ft chunk of maple has crushed my patio furniture and neighbor’s fence.

Yep, as much as I like the low electric bill and green aspect of it, not a fan. They effed up the flashing on my parents’ roof and the water damage destroyed the underlayment in their attic. They’ve been trying for months to get them to remove the panels so a roofer can replace the roof, but it’s going nowhere. My neighbor had panels installed and had water pouring through his bathroom fan during the first rain. These outfits slam as many arrays on as they can, but they often do substandard work and completely ignore problems once the project is done. Caveat emptor for sure.

No damage from last night's storm in my back yard, but my neighbor four houses up had two mature maples snap about 10 feet from the ground, one of which crushed his Jeep. Major bummer!

That was a wild day. Best structure I’ve seen in southern NE. My uncle got hit by the tornado on his way home from Waterbury. He had the rather extraordinary distinction of being hit directly by three tornadoes while living in SCT. House got smoked by the July ‘89 F4, then 2018 and 2020 (or was it ‘21?)

I saw four orioles yesterday. So great to have them back. No ruby-throats in my hood yet though.

Solid A here. Near continual snow cover after Christmas, relentless cold, two big events and way above climo snowfall. If we can somehow squeeze in one more warning event to make Morch memorable I'll bump it to A+.
