    The Pats kicking ass is a good augury for winter. We had a lot of great winters during their dynastic period and winters have sucked since Tom left. Some day the Pats’ win record may go hand in hand with beehive height and squirrel obesity as great winter predictors.

    I was extremely saddened to hear of his passing. I have fond memories of Christmas parties with him and Nancy Aborn when I was a kid. Nice guy.

    Also featured the worst standing wave of subsidence in RI I have ever seen. Cory nearly did himself in.

    Might be the strongest winds of the event right now on Fishers Island. Just rocking right now. Surfers were glorying on the south side of the island.

    They pretty much only shut down for southeasters, which make it impossible for the boat to dock properly. But for anything short of a cat 1, they can keep running boats.

    I’m out on Fishers island for this one. It’s still wild out there. Gonna be a bumpy ferry ride back to the mainland today. That’s for damn sure.

    Absolutely hammering out there. Trees whipping back and forth. Constant roar and pounding rain. Great storm.

    Strongest wind of the day now. Couple solid house shakers.

    We’re roarin’ and pourin’ out here. The wind is blowing the rain back up my roof. Never seen that before. It hits the drip edge and just shoots straight up and back towards the ridge. Tide is super high and waves are pounding the neighbor’s dock.

    No rain yet, but the wind is already whistling and roaring here on the water. Big white caps piling up.

    So jealous dude. Not only a beautiful part of the world, but they do winter right. My extended family down the road in Tupper just get nailed from early November into mid April.

    Bummer to rain out a weekend day, but we desperately need the water down here. Plants already look so much better.
