  1. Media Delaware County Clear winds calm temp 25 dewpoint 14 pretty cold I’d think with that sketchy precipitation coming in later no?
  2. That has been the theme all year under La Ninia why should it change now. We have had a progressive flow with limited blocking and every once in a while, the PNA throws us a bone so that the development is just close enough to the coast. I really don't see the progressive pattern changing going forward. We are at the hands of the PNA out west. I am not saying it cannot snow just need a coastal runner with the correct timing. I do not think winter is quite over yet.
  3. Media Delaware County 31 Dewpoint 30 light drizzle.
  4. That moved about 125 miles further northwest next Ukie run it will be Erie to Scranton
  5. That’s why it’s new and improved. Says no before Euro Dr. No says so
  6. Media Delco 6” temp 18 dewpoint 17 pressure 29.57 steady winds NNE 17 gusting to 32
  7. Media Delaware County Pa light to moderate snow 4” winds picking up big time to 30-35. 20f pressure 29.55 falling. Quote
  8. Media Delaware County Pa light to moderate snow 4” winds picking up big time to 30-35. 20f pressure 29.55 falling.
  9. Media Delaware County light to moderate snow 27 humidity 89% dewpoint 26 wind North 16 pressure 29.67 falling 1.7” from yesterday morning early afternoon added since 7 pm 1.8”
  10. Media Delaware County Cloudy a few passing flurries from time to time 30 dew point 28 wind NE 12 clouds moving NE to SW. We have 1.7" on the grass and some paved surfaces from morning and early afternoon snow.
  11. I guess no one forecasts on snow ratios anymore Hmmm??? It will be snowing at 22-25 degrees I would think snow ratios of 15:1 so if the model is showing you 4-6" you can end up with 6-10". I don't know maybe I am missing something here??
  12. Yes, in the past sometimes there is this pseudo low out ahead on the stalled baroclinic zone latches onto it thinking that’s the real storm it weakens scoots east then the real storm develops west abs takes over up the coast becoming the dominant storm. Almost like the models are chasing the wrong storm. All of that has to be resolved today.
  13. At the surface very early on very wonky shoves surface low 200 miles west then jumps east. 12z should be interesting
  14. Did the storm on the northern branch enter the United States yet? If so Adam Joseph can launch the weather balloon now and real in the Blizzard of 22
  15. Media 35 dewpoint 16 increasing clouds snow knocking on the doorstep to our west moving east. I’d expect flurries light snow here in 25 minutes or so maybe a dusting to 0.3”
  16. I mean we need a 80 mile shift west that is nothing at this range give it until Tuesday Night early Wednesday.
  17. Oh right I forgot the storm at dropped 2.1” then vanished 5 hours later so 4.3”, 2.1”, and 0.3” looks like 6.7” Thanks Kamu I knew you would come through since you’re only like 7 miles down the road
  18. I lost track of my yearly snowfall total here in Media think we are at 5.3” got the year?
  19. Classic Miller A on 18z GFS I’m skeptical for now but wow a 970 at Hatteras that would wreck the coast!
  20. Got down to 6.9 degrees this morning here in Media, Delaware County coldest morning of the year and it was done with no snowpack. Imagine what the lows would have been with the snowpack.
  21. Lately after say 2009 and 2010 blocking during the winter months from what I can remember has not really materialized. However, I feel like we have seen more blocking during the later spring, summer, and early fall months during our warmer times. Without decent blocking I am not super excited for the rest of January, but still holding out hope for a coastal runner at months end as the ridge axis out west looks great at times.
  22. Not at all lol a little surprised that the Gfs was the worst. My expectations were met I saw it snowing for 20 minutes.
