  5. To me looks like the low to the south is ticking further and further west with each run perhaps a tick north too both of which causing a more expansive precipitation field.

  13. But the gfs has us getting 30” of snow this week!
  14. We’ve now seen these types of maps for 3 weeks now. These maps are equivalent to seeing a category 5 hurricane traversing the Atlantic heading to the East or Gulf Coast that disappears in time. These are the money making ratings maps.
  15. Cloudy 36f humidity 98% dewpoint 36f Total Rain: 0.42" Total Sleet: 0.01" Total Freezing Rain: 0.27" (all surfaces covered with ice except many paved / cement areas there were a few cement areas covered.) Ice is long gone no ice anywhere left
  16. Cloudy bumpy clouds above so warming aloft. 32f humidity 47% dew point 15f
  17. Mostly Cloudy 31 humidity 49% dew point 15f
  18. That’s why your snowfall maps were lighting up with up to 30” of snow because it wasn’t snow it was ice typical stuff
  19. I cannot disagree but we have a very intense dynamic thermal gradient setting up very warm south quite cold north. in the department of what can go wrong is that the warmth is too overwhelming aloft and instead of 30” of snow we have 2” of snow followed by 7” of sleet. These snowfall maps lighting up like this screams a level of sleet especially closer to the thermal gradient. I am cautiously optimistic just give me precipitation to fill the reservoirs creeks streams and rivers. I m feeling with the cold Atlantic and 80-90 degree heat our south wild weather times are ahead at least.
  20. This is what we need to solve our drought issue! One extreme to the other will be the coast to coast theme starting yesterday and for the next 3-5 weeks.
