  1. Community Come on now we know this is coming north! It’s been a while look a cold high up north and the cold air daming wedge is in place! Hello old friend! Let’s go!!! I like December 5th and 9th especially the 9th.
  2. wow look at that we actually have a cold high up north I am intrigued now / cold air daming too been a while since we have seen the wedge!
  3. Yea we suck! Welcome to the Winter of 2025-2026 off to a Great Start! At least drought guy is happy about this quick hitter like shazam and outta here! I mean 10" of snow today in 9 hours would have been awesome!
  4. Drizzle chilly north wind 36f humidity 99% dew point 36f Picked up a trace of sleet three snowflakes and 1.00" of rain on the button. We had more snow here Sunday morning LOL The way I see it we just missed out on 10" of snow. We just could not hold onto the high that slipped away to the east it's a common theme! Please stop! Another common theme is the always present low pressure over the Great Lakes Please stop!! Oh well onto the next. So, is that 978mb storm off the East Coast on the 12z GFS anything to get excited about on December 9th at 6z? or is this like the Phantom Hurricane that was in the Gulf on December 8th on the GFS from last week?
  5. It was nice while it lasted 36f light rain that was quick dam south winds.
  6. 36f Dewpoint 27 light snow This was NOT on my bingo card today!
  7. This idea of the cold not being locked in and the high moving east was the theme of the winter last few years so nothing has really changed for this year yet outside of below normal temperatures right now.
  8. Yea light rain here followed by a squall line and outta here a bit dramatic.
  9. I think from where we have been 6z GFS was almost "Folks"!!
  10. Here we go suppression vs snow and rain classic. I do not think in this set up suppression will be a thing looks progressive up the coast.
  11. This is exactly the theme we have been seeing last few years. Now with that said we see the potential and we are a little under a week out so changes will be abound good or worse. My expectations are learned to be in check for sure.
  12. It’s the exact same thing every year for the past 5 years or so. Welcome to our new normal of Pacific warm dominated weather pattern with a sprinkle of flat ridges from the warm Gulf of Mexico and southwestern Atlantic this the cause of your erratic rainfall amounts and very little snow.
  13. Well the -NAO locks in the cold and this has been the biggest issue with the Pacific Jet ripping across the country and a flat high south and southeast. I see more of the same from last year with hints here and there that it could possibly change but zero is locking in.
  14. Interesting system coming in from the west needless to say. Those are some pretty good thunderstorms there in West Virginia. Currently precipitation to the south is hitting a brick wall and heading southeast away. Here is my interesting observation at the airport currently it is 47f with a 25f dewpoint. Here in Media just 13 miles west southwest it is 38 with a dewpoint of 23f Pretty wild to have an almost 10-degree difference in a short distance with a lower dewpoint. Looks like a pretty vigorous low coming in from the west and energy transfer southeast from the Great Lakes. I also too didn't have sleet on my bingo card today. I wonder if there are any more surprises coming tonight. wind here west at 7 mph.
  15. Question was there a stratospheric warming event lately? Finding it interesting that interior Florida was having low temperatures Tuesday running 37-41 across south Central Florida and highs barely cracking 60f on November 12th at the same time it wasn't all that much colder / warmer here. Almost looked came across as cold air coming from aloft to the surface and then quickly leaving obviously stage right to the east and northeast.
  16. Yep, periods of rain here with thunder and loud thunder 56f humidity 98% Looks like fairly strong thunderstorms in Delaware Bay in a line moving into south Jersey.
  17. In Media low this morning coldest of the year by 4f degrees; 32f with plenty of frost (first good frost of the season) High was 63f Currently 54f with 55% humidity with a small ribbon of rain just to our west has 0.15-0.25" written all over it. Looking forward to the Zoo field trip on Tuesday, November 11th 9:00 am to 1:00 pm temps 33-43 with gusty northwest winds can't wait LOL. Wonder if we see our first passing snowflakes Monday to Tuesday?
  18. Biggest rainfall here in a while: Total rainfall 2.67" High today 68f Low today 48f
  19. I would say past 100 Mph. That's incredible video! Most amazing to me was now calm the people were there amazing people of Jamaica!
  20. Well, it definitely should have weakened it crossed right over the mountains and has now reemerged on the other side. I have been to that part of Jamaica I would liken the mountains there like the Appalachians in central Pennsylvania. I am stating the obvious, I am sure. This is a tragic event for the Southwestern and western parts of Jamica especially.
  21. Wobbling around now looks like a slight drift east so it's about to turn abruptly northward definitely has hit that brick wall coming in from the west. Certainly, does look the best it has so gotta be peaking as we speak. Western Jamaica is in real danger!
  22. Yep, definitely getting its act together very good outflow in all quadrants. Sucking in some dry air south, southeast, east side for now should work out though fairly quickly.
  23. Guessing that’s a hit! Damm where’s the cold air? (Our theme coming up)
