  1. Temp has dropped a degree to 31.1 Dewpoint has also dropped a degree to 25
  2. That has me in 7-8". That seems like a stretch. That must be counting sleet as snow?
  3. I'm a little confused with the dewpoint temp. If its dropping, does that mean colder air is draining in, or just drier air or both?
  4. Maybe we can luck out and get mostly snow and sleet, and the zr will be just light drizzle.
  5. Temperatures by us are not forecast to get out of the 20's for duration of the storm. Hope we don't get alot of ice. I don't mind snow and sleet. Ice sucks. I lose power to easy here.
  6. When should we start a new thread for our next rainstorm for the middle of next week?
  7. At this point, what's your thoughts for NE Sussex Co. NJ?
  8. Thank you. 100's of posts that are NYC centric. Don't get me wrong, I get it. I know where the population center is, but I'd love to hear thoughts of the more knowledgeable posters on their thoughts for places like northern Morris, far NW Passaic Co, Eastern Sussex Co.. etc, etc..
  9. Probably 15 yrs ago. Maybe more. Cliffwood Lake next to Canistear Reservoir in Vernon, NJ
  10. 4 am NWS point and click forecast for my area has taken out any mention of sleet or mixing for my area Saturday through Sunday. At least for now.
  11. Is this thread the new 20th-22nd storm threat thread. I'm getting confused.
  12. Exactly what mine says for me in Vernon at over 1200' elevation.
  13. Ok. I was gunna say, if it doesn't happen by me, chances are it's not happening for 98% of people in the NYC metro on this forum.
  14. Just listened to the 4pm NWS forecast for my area in Sussex, Co. NJ. They say snow Sat afternoon and Saturday night, chance of light freezing rain and sleet after midnight. LITTLE or NO SNOW ACCUMULATION. Sunday, light freezing rain and sleet. No mention of a change over. What are they seeing that we're not?
  15. I've monitored ice thicknesses on our lake for years for ice fishing purposes. Got up to 3 1/2" in early December before the melt. Deepest I've ever seen it was 22" thick.
  16. Will elevation play a role either way with this storm?
