  1. Keep in mind that the major icing occurred overnight in 2008. This past Christmas it took awhile for the ice to accumulate because it was during the day. I think it would have been different if the xmas icing event had occurred later in the afternoon or evening.
  2. I'm liking this one for the potential for wintry weather.
  3. Back in the day the TV/radio mets would always mention the snowpack in situations like the one expected on friday. The popular term was "outdoor refrigerator"
  4. At this time I wouldn't both much stock in any of the models
  5. Nickleback or Bieber....hmmm that's a tough one. Can I get back to you after the Navgem run???
  6. George's favorite model is being torn to shreds the last 2 days....George will make those critics pay
  7. They will still help to absorb some of the water. As will keeping the area warm and as dry as possible.
  8. These work great for absorbing water and preventing damage. Quick Dam 5 ft. Flood Barriers (2-Pack) QD65-2 - The Home Depot
  9. Is that very tiny eye like hole right over your home???
  10. Is anyone else wondering if George is on the phone trying to convince the Navy to conduct an airstrike on Tip's place???
  11. It's why I wrote that Tip should be the one to start the thread...
  12. it is a joke about how long it can take to restore power in NH....
  13. Agree. Nothing worse than an extended power outage. All of the friends and family members now have generacs.
  14. Next time you steal our snow we're coming for it!!
  15. More trees in w Methuen and Dracut than in east Methuen....lights flickered numerous times but no loss of power. Several friends and family members in NH were without power for 3 weeks. .... rumor was the 1 electric crew in NH was vacationing in Florida at the time....
  16. Congrats on mastering CorelDraw!!!!....
  17. Well we handle things differently. Nothing wrong with that.
  18. Yes there was a gradient in the area. The further up 495 the more the icing became more severe. Especially along 495 and to the west of 495. West Haverhill certainly got hit harder than East Haverhill. The west Haverhill area that borders Salem can be a sweet spot for winter weather.
  19. Hey you can be angry but the question is...is the anger going to change the situation or benefit you?
